Help Stop Norfolk Virginia's Animal ...
Non-permanent residents shouldn't have to hand over their animals just because of this law. In a military town where people are transfered in and out every day it's not right that laws such as this one should apply to military families who are probably going to relocate in less than 10 years time anyways. If I'm going to be here for 6 months and I had 5 cats when I got I'd have to pay to have all of them licensed during that time and find a home for the extra before I get busted and fined for having to many cats. I think that the city should take that law off the books because it's not helping anyone it's just causing more problems. If I didn't care for the animals I could have made the officers go and get a warrant and in the time they were gone I could have very easily done horrible things to get rid of all the extra animals I had.
