Stop the Special Ed Cuts, CPS!
I'm a former special education student as the first autistic student in the Chicago Public School system on January 9, 1984 at Le Moyne Elementary School.
I was disappointed last Summer at the $26.5 million budget deficit in special education.
I hope the Board don't have to make any more cuts this year.
I also signing this petition against the Board closing Le Moyne Elementary School, near Wrigley Field in Lakeview.
I don't want to see my history being erased, because I'm also the first former autistic student to go to a four-year college; first former autistic student to testify at the Board of Education meeting about autism last summer; against the Budget cuts; Writing a letter to Arne Duncan about my success in CPS autistic programs and learning disability programs before I graduated from high school and went to college.
