PITBULL AWARENESS
I agree with this sentiment. Animals like people for the most part are products of their environment. I've had friends with pitbulls and even pitmutts that were cared for and are loving as any other dog breed. When I was little my father had a friend who lived in Staten Island, and he used to visit him frequently. He had a pitbull and he would sit my stroller right in front of it. Did he attack me? No, not at all. He was the sweetest dog and I used to lightly pet him and tug at his ears and he never even moved in any malicious way towards me, EVER. On the other hand I had other dogs attack me that weren't pitbulls. One of them lives a few blocks away and is owned by a lady who yells at them (this I've seen) for no reason and probably abuses them in other ways too. It's sad that people are so ignorant and believe EVERYTHING they see on TV. Anyone who knows anything about the media should know how biased editing can make things look better or worse than they ac...
Stop BonsaiKittens.com! (Stop All Bonsai...
Guys, relax. IT'S A HOAX. The outcry a few years ago lead into an F.B.I. investigation. You can rest assured that this isn't real.
Stop Drug Users from having Children
My mother's an occupatational therapist and deals with drug addicted babies and children, so I dig your sentiment. However, I don't agree with that solution. Within the law, there are many chances for failure and loopholes, and to mandate something as personal and permanent as a hysterectomy opens the grounds up for using the law maybe against women who don't deserve it. Yes it's a horrible thing to witness a woman who's pregnant and still doing drugs, but they are addicts, plain and simple. A lot of times they would take help if it's offered, but they're just that..helpless against substance. I don't think something so permanent should take place if a person can get help for their addiction. You're acting as though there are no women who have been drug abusers that have recovered. Also you say stop drug abusers from having children, but this is only aimed towards women...what about if the men they're with are the ones responsible for their...
Stop Bi-lingual education
I have nothing against learning another language. I can make basic conversation (at least) in four. However, I for one live in NYC as well and this is a huge problem. It annoys me that when I go into these ethnic communities that people look at me as if I'm insane if I don't speak their language fluently. Last time I checked, I wasn't the one that came to their country. If I went on even a vacation to a Hispanic country, I would learn at least enough Spanish to get around, in addition to anywhere else, or at least the official/most prominent language. If I were going to live there, I would try to learn even more. Immersion has been proven to work as a language learning tool, which of coure is practically automatic when living in a new country. The conflict arises when immigrants segregate into their ethnic communities where the stores, products, and everything else is in their language. They become lazy and make no effort to learn English. The immigrants of yesterd...

I wholeheartedly agree. If people are so concerned then maybe they should have some type of permits for average citizens. Banning them takes all the fun out of summer holidays!
super smash bros 3
This is definetly one of my favorite game series. It entertains all ages even though it was somewhat cartoony combat and a nintendo game. But I'll tell you that a room full of 20 something guys (and one girl, me) could enjoy this game just as much as Quake, Halo, XIII, MK, etc. shows how good a game it actually was. All the game modes and and endless settings had us playing this game for a year and a half straight every other weekend. The only thing we wish the game had were customizable HP values for HP mode to have longer battles than just 150HP. There aren't enough multiplayer games like this and nintendo should really invest as much in this series as the mario party series. My friend and I played all the modes until we acquired every trophy in the game. Besides Zelda, SSB was THE REASON to own a Gamecube!
Tell Nick to Air Old 90's shows
If they have "Nick GAS" (which shows classics like Double Dare and GUTS), they should have another network for the other classic shows that aren't game shows. I used to love "Snick" with Clarissa, Ren and Stimpy, Roundhouse and AYAOTD and eventually original ALL THAT. Pete and Pete is also an awesome show that needs to be shown again, in addition to the OLD (pre-1990s) gems like You Can't Do That on Television, and Turkey TV. I also loved Hey Dude, The Adventures of Alex Mack, Welcome Freshmen, Today's Special, Fifteen, The Tomorrow People, Kablam!, Weinerville, Eerie Indiana, Mr. Wizard, and Nick News . It would also be nice to see all the classic nicktoons like Doug, early Rugrats and Rocko's Modern Life on regular rotation instead of just once in a while on Nicktoons channel. I grew up with quality shows when Nick actually CARED about kids. I liked those shows so much that I got my younger cousins into the ...
Save Radio Free Roscoe!
RFR was a great show and I hated to see it end. It was one of the few shows on TV where I could relate to the characters. Every RFR personality had wit, intelligence, compassion and genuine human interest. This wasn't a show about the popular kids and jocks. It was about everyday kids who felt smothered by all around them. They were smart without being "nerdy" or "geeky" by stereotypical means (the kind of kid I was in high school) and they weren't popular, but that didn't matter and they found a great way to express themselves and promote expression among their schoolmates. I'm really glad to hear about Gina. I had a hard time adjusting and expressing myself in Jr. High when my dad died right before I came home from summer camp, so I know how she feels. I wasn't entirely mute, but I wouldn't say much. I just wish I had a show like RFR back then instead of catching it on the N as a coll...
National Smokers Day
I wouldn't have any problem with smokers if I didn't have to inhale the stuff too. I definitely don't try to ostracize or yell at smokers. Ultimately they're messing up their own bodies. I just wish that I could have filtered smoke like they inhale, but unfortunately I get no filter. I honestly don't think banning smokers with the law is the right way to go. Sponsoring quitting programs and support is a step in the right direction though. I honestly think we should go back to the smoking and non-smoking sections. Now before you say it's archaic, think about how much technology has progressed. We have ionic air filters, electrostatic molecule removal devices and some of the best vacuums and odor destroyers. In a post 9/11 world, public places should have these to remove other debris that might come by anyway, so why not just close sections off somewhat, turn the filters on and let the smokers smoke? Of course there is the a...
