I'm not sure Wayne & Garth would survive in 2005. They ruled in the 90s, but their time, unfortunately, just may have passed. On the other hand, it would be interesting to see what they would do with Wayne & Garth. So go for it!!

I'm not sure. Green Day are great, but I've never had a problem with a band that still makes good music, but has a million fans. It doesn't change the quality of the music.
