Fish are commonly sold in pet stores and wal mart as a way to lure customers into the store. Even the people who aren't there to buy fish often look "just to look" and then decide on impulse to buy a betta, goldfish, or tank. it is very sad that these fish are used to entice impulse sales. they are living things, and when you buya living creature, you should only do it when you are well educated about the cost and proper care of the animal. to buy a pet on implse means that the owner has no real clue what they are doing.
