Many fans of the want to see this show again on TV or DVD. The show was about hosts Ron and Natalie Diase inviting viewers into the Gullah culture by a rich mix of songs, games, humor, and dance. The show premiered on Nickelodeon as part of a new line-up entitled Nick Jr in the fall of 1994. Instantly it became a hit and the highest rated television show. TV Guide proclaimed, "In the top ten of the best children's show of all time!" This show was widely watched for its story plots, loveable characters, and educational vales. I am the creator of this pettition and our goal is for Paramount Home Video to see this and - - Release the show on DVD! We are hoping for season sets of thes how as part of the new Nickelodeon Rewind Collection. I am the author of the pettition and I would love to see the series in DVD box sets like Ducktales, Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers, etc. If they will put those shows on DVD THEY can put Muppet Babies on DVD as well!!

Hello, I don't know where you heard this show, but Avatar is not going anywhere. I am close friends with the show creator and writers and the show is NOT getting canceled. In fact it has just been re-newed another 3 seasons by Viacom (Nickelodeon's owner) The show has been nothing but success. In fact an Avatar: The Last Airbender movie is down the pipeline for a later release. All this petition will do is continue the "rumor" which has no truth what so ever.
