Geez... a whole petition to stop something because you think it sucks? Does the world suck so much that you have to go out of your way to hate something? I understand if you don't like something, but you don't have to ruin it for people who do like it! They have a choice (right or wrong) to be involved with it or not. Apparently a lot of you are choosing to involve yourself with this just because you don't like it... and that is just sad. Personally I like Yugioh, not the crappy 4kids dub of it but the original japanese version. Why? Because it has a good story, good character development, and while it may be based of a card game (which the original series wasn't, mind you), it doesn't blow it out of proportion without good interesting mythical reasons to back it up. Still, I'm not saying you should like it, I'm just trying to think of why you have to go out of your way to hate something, when you can do better by just ignoring it. The world has enough...

I agree very much with #7. 4Kids ruined a good anime.. but even still. Yugioh is not as bad as how you made it to be, not even the dub. Okay, an anime about a card game may seem a bit silly. But, it's not about the card game. That is just used in the show as a medium for the true story: the story of the Pharaoh. The first series (didn't get dubbed) didn't even use the card game except for a few one-off episodes. Basically what I'm saying is this - before you listen to people like this who have probably never even seen an episode, watch the Orichalcos and Pharaoh's Memories arcs (Waking the Dragons and Dawn of the Duel in the dub, respectively). Those arcs are most responsible for understanding the true nature of the anime.

Me too - the series is totally far much better in the japanese version. One of my main gripes about the dub is the whole Shadow Realm thing... IT DOESN'T EXIST IN THE ORIGINAL! The dub just added it in so no-one dies. One of my favorite arcs was the Pharaoh's Memories arc, and it just saddened me how much they changed, for absolutely no reason, even though it was the last arc before GX (which also has been ripped to shreds by 4kids) (One interesting question... why did they call Anzu "Téa" in the dub, yet call Mana's bird "Anzu" when in the original I don't think it had a name? o.O) Anyway, am glad to see the uncut versions being released, but they're so slowly being done! They should do a boxset of the original japanese versions, I think, with proper subtitles too (not edited ones).

I do not support this petition.. I do totally agree with #37 though. Okay, it may be a bit slow during the first series, but it is a great show and much better than watching people beat each other up, or whatever. (For those of you who would rather do the latter... I am glad I do not know you.) #51 - admire the intelligence (sarcasm intended). #61 - You get migranes because of Yugioh? Riiight.. that is just sad. DON'T WATCH IT IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT! Geez! Why must people hate things when they can just ignore them and leave them be?

I support this petition. Yu-Gi-Oh Rocks! Of course, it should be dubbed by someone better than 4kids (shouldn't be hard to find, lol).

Anime is like art - to change the script, or even character's names, of an anime is disrespectful to it's creators! YuGiOh GX for example had it's script altered, name's changed (for no reason might I add) and even some graphic-based editing! (One stupid edit was a sign that said "No Entry" was wiped out - Why? o.O) Not just YGO GX of course, many other anime too such as One Piece, Shaman King, etc. With YuGiOh they replaced death with this "Shadow Realm" from which everyone gets released at the end of the danger (yet we never see them again). (A few exceptions, but there were reasons). Shaman King I was quite surprised actually - some blood slipped by (on episode 34 i think). But of course, they can't show guns (replaced by pointy fingers of death), or teammates hitting each other (i.e. Marco hitting Lyserg, or Jonouchi hitting Yami Yuugi.) So yeah... so much editing, while it may be good for little kids, a lot of the story to be cannot be tru...
