Upgrade firmware of Samsung Galaxy to Android 2.0

Many people bought the Samsung Galaxy since it was one of the first Android devices with nice hardware features.

It is available since July 2009, and is of excellent quality.

Up to today there is no official statement from Samsung about future firmware releases.
Many people wait for a new firmware for their device based on Android 2.0

The idea behind Android devices which many other manufactureres follow is to keep the users up-to-date with a recent Android release.
E.g. HTC has done so with their models Dream, Magic and Hero

We, the Samsung Galaxy user-community, hope that Samsung will provide an upgrade to a recent Android release (2.0 or the soon to be released 2.1) in a near future.

Address the KTM Fuel Injection System Now!

Dear KTM,

I am one of many KTM 990 (EFI) owners who are having problems enjoying my motorcycle to its fullest. I, and many with me, believe this problem to be an inefficiently implemented Fuel Injection system. Several message board threads on various online forums around the world describe and illustrate the problem better than I ever could. I have included a sample of some of these threads and discussions for your investigation[1].

Without getting into comparisons against other vehicles or motorcycle brands, suffice it to say that the \"jerkiness\", abrupt or snatchy operation of the throttle on the KTM 990 line of motorcycles is discouraging and does not inspire safe and smooth vehicle operation.

Several individuals have tried addressing these shortcomings in various ways including, but not limited to, fuel injection devices and software such as DynoJet\'s PowerCommander[2] and TuneBoy[3], component configuration changes such as, throttle cam changes[4] and even complete removal of butterfly valves[5]. Varying degrees of success/failure have been reported.

It is my belief that KTM motorcycles are of the highest quality (and you will find many of us who have been affected by this problem still acting as ambassadors of the KTM brand), therefore we find this above mentioned shortcoming incomprehensible and not worthy of a motorcycle of KTM\'s caliber.

I urge you, KTM, to take this matter seriously and propose a solution for those of us suffering these problems so that we can safely and confidently operate our motorcycles in the ways and situations they were intended to operate.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing how you plan to address these issues.

Incompetent Experts & Moderators of AMHD Forum

After numerous attempts to contact the Administrator of the said forum, nothing has ever done to remove the slandering comments made by their Expert and Moderators that greatly affected Funky Mommy\'s business www.funkymommy.net (Online Skincare retail store)
It all started when Father Chuck (Moderator) posted a message with all the names of Members banned for using one IP address. Quickly, one expert named PunkChic associate these members to Funky Mommy (Online Skincare Retailer) because they all seemed to have been praising the same products. Moreover, the said Expert blatantly accuse Funky Mommy of being a scam/fraud and using different names to promote her products simply because all these banned members were at one point talking positively about the same products. Seemed very biased and uncalled for. Meanwhile, the expert herself is openly promoting other products and anyone who questions her gets banned and kicked out of the forum. If you have been a victim of the said injustice, please sign this petition.
WE tried creating an account at askmehelpdesk.com to clear our name, but our posts were actively deleted minutes after being posted. WE created this petition not to shutdown the whole askmehelpdesk forum, but for the removal of those slandering comments and removal of those incompetent Moderators and Expert (Punkchic). I believe that the Skin Lightening section of the forum is the only one tainted. Many of the members of the said forum has been sending messages to the Admin on our behalf regarding this misconduct but to no avail. We are hoping that this petition will make them notice and eventually will do something to remove those slanderous posts, reinstate those members who were unjustly banned.kicked out, removal of incompetent expert (Punchic) and moderator (CurlyBen). And hopefully come up with a better, fair, & honest skin lightening Forum.

Since we open this petition, there\'s been more slanderous post that\'s being added to this forum., and I apologized for not updating this petition, we totally forgot about this. Since then, we have created a Blog and many current members are contacting us through our Blog that the Mods and Members are taking advantage of their position to bully those members who does not go their way; from threatening to banning them permanently just because they utter good words about our products,. and this is not just happening in Skin Lightening Thread but other threads as well. WE are calling for a total shutdown of the said forum in violation of privacy and freedom of speech. They are tracking each user\'s IP address, who would do such a thing, this is a forum and not Pentagon for Christ sake.
For more details and complaints from other members; please feel free to go to our Blog; http://www.funkymommy.net/blog/

This has gotten way out of control, now they are using Members to attack us and other skin lightening sites/stores (see photo). Very unprofessional and so uncalled for. Shut www.askmehelpdesk.com site down!

Since they are only promoting their own products in this forum which is very obvious from the very beginning, they are making slanderous remarks on other honest businesses as well by the likes of Makari, Fair & Flawless, Tonique & Herbalin which are productive part of our society. So we are calling on these businesses to join us on this petition!

It looks like we have been invaded by one of Askmehelpdesk people by the name of STOPWhining, this person had no choice but to sign the petition, so they can use it as a way to leave nasty messages/comments to us regarding this petition, now you see what kind of demeanor they are exhibiting. Why can\'t they just leave the process take it\'s course. They still try to bully us and threat us to back off.

Possible Construction Defect of Homes Built By Drees Premier Homes, Inc.

DO YOU OWN A DREES PREMIER HOMES, INC. BUILT HOME?

DO YOU BELIEVE YOUR DREES BUILT HOME FEATURES A SIGNIFICANT STRUCTUAL OR CONSTRUCTION DEFECT?

IF SO, YOU MAY QUALIFY FOR DAMAGES AND/OR CORRECTION OF THE DEFECT!

If you own a home built by Drees Homes, Drees Premier Homes, Inc., or Drees Design Gallery Homes and you believe that your home contains a significant construction defect(s) that has resulted in an actual injury to you (financial, diminished use, reduced market value, etc.) or you have had other problems with your Drees built home, please sign this petition. This petition is being used to determine if Drees Built Homes have any "common defects". The reason this petition was originated was to give credibility to every Drees Homeowner who has claimed that Drees Premier Homes, Inc. sold them a Defective Home where Drees Premier Homes knew or was knowledgeable about a defect.

A recently fired Drees Warranty Employee indicated to me, John R. Massey, that all of The Wyngate Models constructed by Drees have substantial cracking of the ceiling, walls, and drywall, in the Great Room and substantial drywall cracking and movement around the wall that is adjacent to the stairwell. See photo as comparison or evidence of a possible defect or what your defect might look like.

I have consulted with counsel and they have indicated that if we as Drees built homeowners can substantiate the same consistent defect with The Wyngate or similar Models, then we as Drees built homeowners could file a successful "Class Action Lawsuit" which could allow for substantial awards to the plantiff(s). I believe if we can substantiate that this defect or any other defect is common and tends to occur in every Wyngate Model or any other Drees built home, then chances of forcing Drees Premier Homes, Inc to correct the defect(s) is/are greatly increased.

Please sign this Petition if you believe that your Drees Premier Homes, Inc. built home contains any defect or a similar defects as the described in this petition.

We Are Boycotting Reebok - They Objectify Women

I sent a letter to Reebok with concerns over their Reebok Easytone commercial on television. I find it offensive and demeaning. They responded that most people liked the advertisements.

After talking with many of my closest female and male friends, however, I found I was not alone in disliking this new ad campaign. I have attached my original letter. If you echo my thoughts, please sign this petition.

Whether you are young, old, male or female, whether you are interested in fitness or not, I think we can all agree that this commercial objectifies women. If you will not stand for this kind of marketing, please sign this petition.

Thanks for your support!

Emily

Dear Reebok,

I am a 22-year-old single white female. After viewing your EasyTone commercial on television, I would guess I am close to your target audience. I strive to live a healthy lifestyle by eating nutritious meals and getting exercise -whether at the gym or on a 10 minute walk during my lunch break.

I cannot express how deeply saddened I am by your latest marketing campaign for your EasyTone shoes. The commercial features an athletic young woman talking about shoes that will increase the benefits of exercise by working the hamstrings and other muscle groups in the legs. To be honest, I can\'t quote the exact percentage your actress gave because I was too distracted by the camera work to pay attention. The cameraman cannot focus on the facts this young woman is stating. Instead, he focuses in on her butt, so she has to repeatedly ask for his attention.

What saddens me the most is that I would love to buy this shoe. But I cannot.

Your website states that \"Reebok’s positioning reflects this; celebrating the distinct qualities that make people who they are - their unique points of view, their individual style and their remarkable talents and accomplishments. \"

Your commercial contradicts this statement. Instead of focusing on the physical benefits that EasyTone shoes provide, you focus on the sex appeal. Additionally, you are telling women that their distinct qualities, their unique points of view, individual style, and talents and accomplishments are meaningless. Because at the end of the day, men are only going to look at our butts. They won\'t care about what words come out of our mouths.

It is this exact attitude that has allowed violence against women to persist in today\'s society. I am horrified that you are giving men permission to see women not as human beings, but as a physical piece of property that they can conquer. It is this attitude that has allowed men to abuse women and claim they were asking for it.

If you had focused on the physical benefits, and featured real women who\'s lives have been improved by these shoes, I would have been the first in line to purchase a size 8 in yellow. But now that I can see you do not respect women, I will never buy Reebok shoes and I will encourage all of my female friends to do the same. I would rather buy a shoe made in a sweat shop than support your sexist company.

Emily Finan

Stop Repeal of Federal Preemption of Reg D

Earlier this month, Senator Dodd posted a discussion draft of the Restoring American Financial Stability Act of 2009. At over 1,000 pages, it is not a light read.

Buried on page 686-687 of the draft is a proposed repeal of the federal pre-emption of state laws regulating accredited investor securities offerings under Regulation D. Reg D offerings make it possible for companies raising small amounts of capital to do so safely, quickly and efficiently. This aids in job creation. America\'s next great companies are being funded right now with very small amounts of capital. It\'s feasible to raise capital in such small amounts, while still protecting investors who need protecting, because of Reg D.

There is no clearer example of how well this system works than here in our state. We see this in our practices particularly for web and software startups that may be raising tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands (as opposed to millions) of dollars: the ability to raise small amounts of capital in an efficient way makes a critical difference for the viability of the venture. And because investors in such financings must be accredited, no harm comes to unsophisticated investors for whom the risks of early stage technology companies are not appropriate.

It hasn\'t always been this way. Previously, states were able to impose their own merit review of securities offerings to residents in their states, and the vast majority of states did this. This posed significant uncertainty for companies raising capital, and significant cost. Perhaps the greatest frustration was a lack of uniformity: states imposed varying degrees of merit review, different disclosure requirements, different notice and filings requirement, different comment systems, varying length of review and comment periods, different suitability standards, different securities legending requirements, and more. In effect, the state-by-state system discouraged entrepreneurs from crossing state lines when raising capital. And when the amounts needed were small, it was often not feasible to go through the process at all, in state or out of state, because of the costs.

The state-by-state system all changed with passage of the National Securities Market Improvements Act (NSMIA), which brought with it federal preemption of state regulation of accredited investor offerings. NSMIA made the process simple you file a Form D with the SEC and you file copies of the Form D with states in which your investors reside. You have to pay state filing fees, too, in most cases. But, because of federal preemption, states could not impose merit or substantive review of your offerings. It was a masterstroke of rationality and good public policy, friendly to entrepreneurs, and wholly protective of unsophisticated investors. Keith Baldwin, a securities attorney at Davis Wright, puts it this way: \"In my view, other than Reg D itself, NSMIA was the best thing to happen to capital formation for small business in my 30+ years of practicing securities law.\"

By proposing to end federal preemption, Senator Dodd is proposing that we go back in time to the days of state merit and substantive review of securities offerings. In Baldwin\'s view, \"Although some state securities regulators may choose to keep existing practices in place, other states will likely revert to the widely variant schemes of exemptions that preceded NSMIA.\" We think this would be especially harmful to the smallest companies that are raising angel capital in fairly small offerings. Today it is possible for small companies to raise as little as $250,000 in angel financings and not expend too great of a portion of that capital raise on lawyer fees. Imagine, though, that those angel investors are in three or four states, and your lawyers tell you it will cost you twenty percent of what you raise to comply with the various securities laws!

A group of entrepreneurs, investors and attorneys have joined in a letter to Washington State\'s two Senators, Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell, urging that Dodd\'s proposal not become law. This group includes: Keith Baldwin, Attorney; Bill Bromfield, Attorney; Bill Bryant, Investor; Marcelo Calbucci, Entrepreneur; John Clyman, Entrepreneur; Stuart DePina, Entrepreneur; Geoff Entress, Investor; Sonya Erickson, Attorney; Jim Ewel, Entrepreneur; Daniel Fine, Entrepreneur; Jeremy Freeland, Attorney; Joe Harb, Entrepreneur; Matt Heaton, Entrepreneur; Mark Hoffman, Attorney; Brian Myers, Attorney; Joe Snell, Entrepreneur; Mark Spangler, Investor; Matt Springer, Entrepreneur; Jason Thane, Entrepreneur; Tandy Trower, Entrepreneur; Jon Washburn, Entrepreneur; and Joe Whitford, Attorney. We particularly thank Marcelo Calbucci for supporting us in this effort and for inviting us to guest post here at Seattle 2.0.

The text of our letter is below. The issue is not just confined to Washington State. We hope readers of this post, throughout the country, will urge their representatives in Congress to not turn back the clock to a time when it was much more difficult for small companies to safely raise needed capital. Our entrepreneurs are getting smarter about doing more with less; let\'s not make it unfeasible to raise seed funds.

Re: Protecting the Way Technology Startups Safely Raise Seed Financing

Dear Senator Murray and Senator Cantwell:

We are writing to bring to your attention language in Senator Dodd\'s Restoring American Financial Stability Act of 2009 that would be harmful to technology innovation in Washington State. If Senator Dodd\'s draft legislation, as currently drafted, were to become law, it would be harder for entrepreneurs in our State and indeed, throughout the nation to launch startup companies.

Section 928 of Senator Dodd\'s draft legislation would repeal the existing federal preemption of state regulation over \"accredited investor\" securities offerings. This would end the uniform, national set of rules for financing that currently makes capital raising for technology startups so safe and so efficient. By gutting something that is working, Senator Dodd\'s draft legislation would expose technology startups to a potentially Byzantine system of patchwork, state-by-state regulation, resulting in higher costs, greater legal risks and pervasive uncertainty. Nothing would be gained from this change: no additional protection would be provided to the types of investors who truly need protecting, and there would be no benefit to the national financial system or to the economy.

The startup ecosystem in Washington State, comprised of entrepreneurs and the angel\\ investors and professionals who support them, is one of the \\spawning pools from which tomorrow\'s great American companies are born. In our State, as well as in other regions of innovation in our country, technology startups are funded by (a) the entrepreneurs who start them, (b) the friends, networks and family of those entrepreneurs, and (c) experienced angel investors who have a taste for startups and a passion about supporting entrepreneurs. This community depends upon the uniformity, clarity and certainty of federal exemptions, which substantially ease the costs and legal risks of raising critically needed seed capital.

The persons signing this letter are entrepreneurs, angel investors and lawyers who found, fund and work with technology startup companies in Washington State. We ask you to look into this matter and to take action to protect the technology startup ecosystem, for the sake of the entrepreneurs and startups of Washington State and for the sake of innovation throughout our country.

U.S. Senator Patty Murray, 173 Russell Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C. 20510

U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell, 511 Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, DC 20510

Section 928 of Senator Dodd\'s \"Restoring American Financial Stability Act of 2009\" would repeal of the federal pre-emption of state laws regulating accredited investor securities offerings under Regulation D.

We oppose this. Congress should not turn back the clock to a time when it was much more difficult for small companies to safely raise needed capital. American entrepreneurs are getting smarter about doing more with less; let\'s not make it unfeasible to raise modest seed funds.

Senator Dodd\'s proposal would take us back to the day when states were able to impose their own merit review of securities offerings to residents in their states, and the vast majority of states did this. This posed significant uncertainty for companies raising capital, and significant cost. Perhaps the greatest frustration was a lack of uniformity: states imposed varying degrees of merit review, different disclosure requirements, different notice and filing requirements, different comment systems, varying length of review and comment periods, different suitability standards, different securities legending requirements, and more. In effect, the state-by-state system discouraged entrepreneurs from crossing state lines when raising capital. And when the amounts needed were small, it was often not feasible to go through the process at all, in state or out of state, because of the costs.

Nothing would be gained from this change: no additional protection would be provided to the types of investors who truly need protecting, and there would be no benefit to the national financial system or to the economy.

A group of entrepreneurs, investors and attorneys have joined in a letter to Washington State\'s two Senators, Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell, urging that Dodd\'s proposal not become law. This group includes: Keith Baldwin, Attorney; Bill Bromfield, Attorney; Bill Bryant, Investor; Marcelo Calbucci, Entrepreneur; John Clyman, Entrepreneur; Stuart DePina, Entrepreneur; Geoff Entress, Investor; Sonya Erickson, Attorney; Jim Ewel, Entrepreneur; Daniel Fine, Entrepreneur; Jeremy Freeland, Attorney; Joe Harb, Entrepreneur; Matt Heaton, Entrepreneur; Mark Hoffman, Attorney; Brian Myers, Attorney; Joe Snell, Entrepreneur; Mark Spangler, Investor; Matt Springer, Entrepreneur; Jason Thane, Entrepreneur; Tandy Trower, Entrepreneur; Jon Washburn, Entrepreneur; and Joe Whitford, Attorney.

This is not just a Washington State issue, however. It effects the whole nation. By signing below, you are adding your voice to those urging Congress to not repeal federal preemption over Reg D offerings!

Save Three Rivers Cornmeal

The J.M. Smuckers Co. purchased the rights and brand of Three Rivers Cornmeal earlier this year. At that same time they also decided to stop production of this most valued brand. The company says sales were to low to continue it\'s production for profit. With the many cook whom use it, I cannot see how their data is correct. This product has a rich history with Southern cooks for well over 75 years. Many cooks are now outraged. Can you really blame them? A staple product for our kitchen has now been discarded and the company\'s stance is simply to buy an alternative brand. Above that, jobs were lost because of the company\'s insensitivy to it\'s most valued customers and employees. With the economy as it is now, how could they in good faith reduce jobs even further? How do they justify turning away loyal and faithful customers? As customers, employees, family and friends, we must not allow this to happen in silence.

The quality taste and texture of Three Rivers brand cannot be duplicated with any other brands. Other brands are produced to fine, yellow and turn out like cake. If true cornbread lovers wanted that, they would just make cake instead. Three Rivers brand has deep yellow color, perfect corn texture and the rich taste that is unbeatable. I know for a fact that the Three Rivers brand is blue ribbon quality. My 11 year old son has won the 4H baking competition 4 years running using Three Rivers brand cornmeal. Judges passed over the competitions brand and found Three Rivers to be ribbon quality in baking, taste and texture.

If your a loyal Three Rivers brand customer, I encourage you to sign this petition in an effort for this company to see the error they\'ve made. Let your signature represent your disapproval of their decision.

To the J.M. Smucker Co. we request that you see our signatures and the faithful following that we had to this product. We implore you to rethink the decisions you\'ve made and ask that our product\'s production and continued sales be restored. Restore to the employees jobs that will support their families, financial stability and continued growth as citizens. Restore our faith in your company and in the products you produce.

To the Coca-Cola Company,

We the undersigned love Vanilla Coke. We are disappointed that you would stop manufacturing such a great beverage, and we would like to petition for the return of your Vanilla Coke and Diet Vanilla Coke products.

For many of us, Vanilla Coke is our favorite soft drink. We love its taste, and we believe it to be one of the best products your company has ever created. We regularly bought Vanilla Coke, and we would continue buying it if it were reintroduced. We don't think Black Cherry Vanilla Coke is an adequate replacement.

Please bring Vanilla Coke back!

Force Frank and Jamie McCourt to sell the dodgers

Our main goal is to get as many signatures as possible by December 30,2009 On January 1, 2010, I will forward this petition to Commissioner Selig. This is our game. We are the fans and without us, baseball is nothing. Since the McCourts took over the Dodgers, they have made a few great moves, I cannot deny the impact that Torre, Manny and our great young kids. However, two people who have no idea what it takes to run a baseball team should not be able to own one of the elite franchises in Major League Baseball. We are the fans and unless we speak up, we will always be spoken for.

Cliff Lee should have been ours. McCourt did not want to spend the 2 million remainder of his contract. Yet, prices at the stadium seem to keep going up. The McCourts also keep buying houses and apparently they spend more money on themselves than they do on our team. I am fed up, and if you bleed Dodger blue, than you should be too.

Matmice closed on September 22nd 2008. This was a great loss to millions of members, people that had grown within the community of the site, people that had gained valuable internet experience, and people that had made great friends.
I personally had made around 50 websites, and I could see the difference from my first website, alie52, my most successful, coconutlipgloss and cutecandyworld, my last, matmicemates, and my most interesting, pinkpug.
I made a wonderful friend, April, whos sites included IcyStar and Lawra1 (or something like that!) and aprilandallie. If you know her email address, please sign it with your name!
Please sign this petition to help to start up the site again, we need to find a solution, but first we need the names from the people who care.
Long Live Matmice!

MatMice is now closed
As announced earlier, MatMice closed on Monday September 22, 2008.

We started MatMice more than 8 years ago (when we were 16, 14, and 10 years old) so that we could help other kids to make their own homepages.

MatMice has been a big part of our lives, but unfortunately the three of us no longer have the time that\'s needed to keep the site running smoothly or add new stuff. :(

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who\'s been part of MatMice since we started!

It’s been a long time since the Serbia was in many crises, wars, inflations…All this causes backwardness of IT industry in this country. Now the things are going much better, IT industry, in Serbia, is developing very rapidly, and the number of active internet users, credit card owners, and the users of many other online services, is growing from day to day. There are also thousands of internet users, in Serbia, which are in some online trading business, but they are all partly handicapped, because Serbia is not on a list of almost every major payment service. One of them is PayPal, which was discussed countless numbers of times on Serbian domestic forums, blogs, but also in a private conversations. We are confident that entrance of PayPal service in Serbia will make possible, for thousands of internet entrepreneurs, undisturbed practice of their online business. We are using this petition to address to PayPal management to think about this step, and to think about Serbia as a potential online market. It’s a shame that Serbia’s neighbor countries are going with a time, though they have much lesser IT potential then Serbia. Let’s do this in mutual benefit.

Kids everywhere wants toys and games and even want to start saving for something in the future... but most of them can\'t because the people they ask to work for say they don\'t hire people under 16... but what they forgot to mention was that they don\'t want to because they\'re afraid of them messing up the business... that\'s what training\'s for. Everyday millions of kids ask their parents to buy them something... millions of parents say "no" because they can\'t afford it. If kids were able to get jobs... They\'d be able to buy their own things... they\'s be able to save up for that future car... or even just the driver\'s education that their parents cannot afford. People all over say "Kids Are The Future"... that\'s not gonna happen if they have to start work later... If they learn earlier they\'d be able to start their lives sooner and get better at what they want to do... learn skill for life... know not to mess with drugs and alchohol and help people.

Did you know that there are 4 out of 10 kids ready to start a real job and help people? Those other 6 kids aren\'t mature enough. I\'d bet that those 4 kids are asked to do chores around the house... but hey don\'t get paid enough to get the things that they want.

Do you have a kid? Do you wish that they would leave and go away for a while to give you (and maybe ur special someone) some time to think? Well, if they could start work earlier they would leave the house a couple hours a day during the summer... they would have to learn manners if they\'re working with people... and they\'d learn to respect people (I\'m talking about you, the parents).

IF YOU REALLY THINK KIDS ARE THE FUTURE SIGN HERE

Because in other cites it dosnt snow for more than half the year, and if it does im sure they\'ve already got an indoor park somewhere near them. Anchorage doesn\'t have any indoor parks available for kids. Although there is one on a mititary base, but of course you have to be military to go skate it which most kids that skate here are not military. If this petition actually does go somewhere that people actually end up reading, then somehow we finally get an indoor skatepark in alaska, i think that would be the greatest day of my life.
Resume shipping McEwans Beer to the USA

We request than Heineken International & Scottish & Newcastle plc re-consider their decision to de-list McEwans Scotch Ale and resume exports to the United States.

The United States beer market consumes more than 87,000,000 barrels of beer a year.

Beer chains, such as Beverages and More http://www.BevMo.com carry over 800 individual brands of beer.

We are dedicated to the long history of the McEwans brand name and the beverages they produce.

History:

William McEwan opened the Fountain Brewery in 1856, in the Fountainbridge area of Edinburgh. By the time it became in public company in 1889, the brewery was valued at Ł1 million. At the beginning of the 1900s, the brewery had a large share of the market throughout Scotland and north-east England, and was exporting to Australia, New Zealand India and South Africa. McEwan\\\'s merged with William Younger\\\'s Brewery (founded in Edinburgh in 1749) in 1931, becoming Scottish Brewers. The company merged again in 1960, joining with Newcastle Breweries to form Scottish & Newcastle.

In February 2004 Scottish & Newcastle announced the closure of McEwan\\\'s Brewery, at the same time as partially buying Caledonian Brewery in Slateford, Edinburgh. McEwan\\\'s brewery finally closed in June 2005, with production of the McEwan\\\'s and Younger\\\'s beers being transferred to Caledonian. In July 2008, after purchasing Scottish & Newcastle, Heineken made the business decision to \\\"De-list\\\" and stop shipping McEwans and Theakstons Old Peculier to the US.

Don't Sell Your Games Back to GameStop/EB Games

GameStop and EB Games, which are are both part of the same umbrella company, buy and sell used games. Many of the used games they buy, which they give store credit or cash for, are in turn sold for much higher of a price than bought of the consumer i.e., on the current date, March 14, 2007, I made call to a local GameStop and asked how much they bought and sold used copies of Call of Duty 3 for the Nintendo Wii for. The employee's reply was 17 dollars store credit and they sell it for 45 used. That is over DOUBLE what GameStop will pay the consumer for their game IN STORE CREDIT! The consumer gets much less in actual cash, than they do for store credit, so they will spend the store credit the consumer receives at GameStop.

We will no longer sell our used games to any form of GameStop or EB Games, due to the incredible lack of the consumer coming first at GameStop its likenesses. The buying price should be ATLEAST 75% of what GameStop/EB Games is selling it used for.

Keep Afflecks Palace open

Afflecks Palace is an alternative, world famous shopping centre, and is the heart of Manchester's Northern Quarter. Like the Coliseum before it, the company that owns the building is now planning to develop it into something else, probably flats, or to increase the rent dramatically for the existing stallholders.
People come to Manchester from all over the country, and all over the world, with Afflecks being a major draw in this. It inspires trends and sustains the vibrant youth cultures that Manchester is known for, because the way it is set up allows entrepreneurs to start up there cheaply. For Afflecks to close would mean a major blow to the cultural heart of the city, which must not be underestimated. Even if it were to remain open, a major increase in rents (the proposed figures include doubling the current rent) would mean that many of the stallholders would be forced out of business.
We understand that Manchester is a popular, thriving city (and we wouldn't have it any other way)and that this means that people want to live in the city centre. But for somewhere as iconic as Afflecks Palace to close will take Manchester that bit closer to being like anyother city, and losing a major part of its identity. We cannot allow this to happen.

AT&T: Improve iPhone service or We will leave.

We the undersigned iPhone owners have grown incomprehensibly frustrated with the quality of service and lack of 3G coverage in the US. By signing this petition we are promising to leave AT&T, even if it means abandoning the iPhone altogether. Unless service quality dramatically increases by the end of Q4, 2009 we will leave at the end of our contracts or sooner.

We know that AT&T\'s viability depends on retaining iPhone users. In 2009 Q3 alone, you added 3.2 million iPhone users to your ledgers. Of that, 40% were new customers. Without us your company\'s revenue will plummet into the red.

Over the course of time that you have had carried the iPhone we have seen minimal improvements to your network. We have all experienced on nearly a daily basis dropped calls, poor call quality, and extremely slow or no data network availability with no noticeable improvement over the years on the iPhone. This is completely unacceptable and you have forced us no other choice but to take action.

The criterion for keeping us on your service will be based on the following metrics and actions:

I. That full speed 3G coverage is completely extended to at least all major metropolitan areas (populations of 1,500,000+) and outlying communities equivalent to Verizon\'s 3G service speeds and coverage.

II. That your number of dropped calls due to AT&T\'s service is reduced by 75% or more.

III. That costs due to such improvements to your network will be wholly consumed by the company and it\'s subsidiaries and that there is no rise in the fees or premiums paid for service by the customer and that what is provided by your service such as minutes, bandwidth, speed or availability does not decrease. We also demand that no new fees controllable by AT&T are added for iPhone voice and/or data plans.

IV. That no feature currently present on the iPhone is reduced or removed and that no level of bandwidth limitations are put into place.

V. That your service improvements are based on additions and improvements and not reductions or restrictions on any part of the iPhone service or by reducing the quality of service for other non-iPhone AT&T customers.

Compensation for poor Singnet Service

I think it\'s time we get a refund for the undue stress and wait everytime Singnet messes it up. It\'s rather unfair to pay for a full service when it breaks every once in a while. We should get a discount. If Singnet really needs to do a technical update then a notice accompanied with a discount will be fair. If the service breaks in between for an unscheduled technical fault, the consumers should be given a refund for the time that it was disconnected plus a little extra don\'t you think. It\'s only fair. I\'m a full paying customer. If I delay payments for a few months and refuse to pay the fine. Singnet will cut my service right? So isn\'t it fair when the situation is reversed?

Holden Should Sell the Camaro in Australia

Australians want to be able to own the Chevy Camaro

Recently Holden Australia scrapped the idea of selling the Camaro here in Australia even though it was largely developed here.

We want to be able to own one for the price of a Monaro.

Please Sign this petition if you agree and would consider test driving and buying one.

Holden believe it is not financially viable for them to sell the Camaro - maybe we the masses can change their minds.

Verizon New Phone Release Petition

Verizon needs to stop holding out on phone releases until the phone is almost antiquated. With their coverage, Verizon could easily blow away the competition if they would only carry phones that were actually comparable to those offered by other carriers. By signing this petition, we affirm that we are sick of settling for outdated phones, sick of Verizon withholding the latest devices from its customers, sick of not knowing when a new phone will be released in advance, and will strongly consider switching carriers if Verizon does not change this policy soon.

WE WANT AT&T 3G COVERAGE IN THE SHOALS!!

We in the Shoals area of Northwest Alabama are sick and tired of having a second rate cell phone carrier that doesn\\\'t offer 3G coverage. Verizon Wireless has had 3G coverage here for a long time and before to long, YOU, AT&T are going to loose most of your smartphone users to this provider. We have requested this for a long time and we are either ignored or lied to.

THE TIME IS NOW for The Shoals Area of Florence, AL to FINALLY get AT&T 3G coverage. You will loose OUR business if you don\\\'t LISTEN to your customers.

Thank you,
Concerned Smartphone Users

Donate Your AT&T Expiring Rollover Minutes

One of the greatest desires of those serving overseas is to call home and speak with their families. We are requesting that AT&T allow its\' customers to donate their expiring rollover minutes to U.S. military service men and women.

AT&T\'S Rollover minutes expire from their customers\' current rollover balance when the minutes reach an age of 12 billing periods. This normally means that if you have minutes in your current Rollover balance for about a year, they will expire.

We live in the land of the free . . . because of the brave. Help a service man or woman call home and help our country!

AT&T please help us honor all of the men and women \"protecting that which is worth protecting.\" Please allow your customers to donate their \"expiriing\" rollover minutes into a pool to be used by U.S. military and their immediate households.

Please forward this petition to as many of your friends, family and business contacts as possible.

God bless you, God bless our military, and God bless America.
