Kent Hovind has done nothing wrong. The charges are trumped up. People we need to petition because his imprisonment is really about free speech. We are supposed to have free speech, but you know it is not protected like it should be. Just because he has a different theory on origins of life, the Universe, well 42 as some of you might call it, doesn\'t give anyone the right to deny him his freedom. The IRS is just a big over complicated bureaucratic machine meant to create excuses for denying our 1st amendment rights. That is my opinion, and I\'m sticking to it.

Second Chance: Brief explanation of the proposed law: The Second Chance Law would give those who have been convicted of nonviolent felonies to have their felonies expunged from their record once they have served all jail and probation time, paid all fines, completed all community service commitments and any other stipulations that the court has assigned. This expungement would take place instead of attempting to have a felony reduced to a misdemeanor then the misdemeanor expunged from the person�s record. It would allow a person, if denied, to reapply for expungement one year from the date of their denial. It would also require probation and parole officers to notify the felon about their rights for expungement and offer information on how to have their felony expunged. It excludes any crimes that would constitute child abuse or sex crimes with a victim. Explanation as to why this proposed law is so important: This law is important because job and housing opportunities are limited for felons. This creates an environment that encourages recidivism because people feel that there are no other options. In addition, felons may be prohibited from holding certain licenses. For example: notary public, real estate, clinical social worker or psychologist, and debt consolidation agency registration. Felons may be prohibited from holding certain political offices. For example: sheriff, state senator or state representative. It negatively affects the ability to serve in the military. A felon may be ineligible to receive certain types of financial assistance or attending college. A felon may be excluded from receiving food and housing assistance from the government, too. As it stands now, there are laws in place in Oregon that allow for reduction of felonies to misdemeanors. However, these laws exclude many people. In addition, the current process of reduction from felony to misdemeanor is a long process that is costly. Clearly, if a person with a felony on their record can�t get a job then they probably won�t be able to afford the costs associated with having their criminal record reduced.

I am a concerned citizen of the state of Wisconsin; I reside in the city of Beloit. I am concerned about the ever increasing crime rate, but more importantly the gun shootings as well as the murders. -Jan. 21st 19 year old shot and injured -Feb. 8th 18 year old shot to death in a drive by (Police arrested someone) -Apr. 3rd 25 years old 24 year old both attempted to rob a Beloit resident at gunpoint and when shots were fired by the resident both were injured. The person being robbed was also shot and injured. -Jun. 26th 17 year old shot at oncoming driver as well as a police officer 14 year old shot at oncoming driver as well as a police officer no one was injured. Both are Beloit, WI residents. The crime was committed in Rockford IL. -Jun. 28th 30 year old shot to death 24 year old shot and injured -Jul. 18th 17 year old injured shot and injured -Sept. 14th 17 year old was shot to death -Nov. 24th 22 year old was shot to death Man shot and injured Nov. 25th Man shot and injured Nov. 26th Man shot and injured Obviously these are not all the crimes committed here, as I couldn�t list all of them. As you can see this week alone we have had 3 separate shootings which resulted in injuries and death. I feel that the Beloit Police Department needs to do more to protect us the citizens from these crimes and are unable. It is in our belief that we need more police officers, more patrol units, more task force against gangs and drugs. I know the economy and decrease in funds but should our residents and children suffer? Regardless of budget and understaffing the residents in our city deserve better than this, and we need to provide a safe place for our children of Beloit. Please help us clean the city up and allow our law abiding citizens, and police department to take this city back.

Right now there are a lot problems in the United States right now several of them being with the economy and the goverment. 1 of the problems being that the goverment is spending way to much money and i think that they should stop. if you agree sign this petition another problem is that when we spend the money we are spending it on things that are basicly worthless like example..... in florida they spent 3.4 million dollars of its bailout money on a turtle tunnel so the poor turtles dont get run over. Bill 210: Why Amendments Are Needed, Delay Consultations We the undersigned, want to work with the government to protect live-in caregivers and make sure Bill 210 has the intended results. Without amendments, the legislation will result in outcomes contrary to the government\'s objectives and intent. Bill 210 is scheduled to be before the Standing Committee of the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday December 2nd, with clause-by-clause review Dec 3rd. We suggest delaying public consultations until February to make sure this legislation is right for caregivers and families. There are unintended consequences if this Bill is passed without amendments. Bill 210 bans recruiters from charging fees to a foreign national for any service provided to the foreign national. That ban would include recruiters charging the foreign national for professional development programs to teach the professional skills needed to immigrate to Canada to pursue a better life through the Foreign Live-In Caregiver Program. Professional development programs include resume writing, interview skills, CPR and first aid training. Professional development programs translate into well qualified candidates coming to Canada as live-in caregivers. Bill 210 also bans the foreign national from paying for the services of a lawyer or a licensed immigration consultant, if that consultant was an employee of a recruiter, or a recruiter. Professional guidance and counseling in all matters of immigration prevent mistakes that could negatively affect the outcome of their application for permanent residence. By banning all fees to the foreign national, the entire financial cost now shifts to the potential employer in Ontario. Bill 210 would require the employer to assume responsibility for professional development training and immigration services in addition to having to pay a recruitment fee. If Bill 210 is passed without any amendments, we estimate that the cost to an employer to bring a foreign live-in caregiver to Ontario, would be over $6,000 - with no assurances that a foreign live-in caregiver will stay with that family to fulfill the obligation of two years of documented live-in caregiver work to be eligible to apply for permanent residence in Canada. This caregiver option then becomes one only available to the wealthy, and even then, the financial risk may be too great. Families who require live-in support but don\'t have the financial means, will be forced to consider child/elder care on a cash basis, or hire illegal immigrants as caregivers. The quality and quantity of available live-in caregivers in Ontario will decline if Bill 210 is passed without amendments. Amendments Needed to Protect Caregivers and Families Section 7: Protective Measures 1. Delay Section 7 coming-into-force until the regulations for prescribed exemptions have been written. 2. Under Section 7, prescribe a list of fees for professional development and immigration consulting within the regulations, as is the case in BC, Alberta 3. Engage stakeholder in regular discussions to update the list of exempt services and define the supporting documentation to implement the regulations properly. New Section: Licensing of Agencies 1. Require a license to operate a caregiver recruitment agency as in Alberta and BC. 2. Require a caregiver recruitment agency to post a bond, in an amount significant enough to ensure that only genuine and legitimate recruiters will apply for and obtain foreign worker recruitment licenses, as in Manitoba. 3. Post a list of valid license holders\' names on a government website as notice to the public as is done in BC and Manitoba. Please read our attached Briefing Note along with the list of services that we feel should be paid for by the employer as part of recruitment, and the services that are optional and paid for by the caregiver. Obama said �I will not sign on any health reform plan that adds to our deficits over the next decade.� Don�t let your judgments take away your caring hearts. In June, 2008, The City of Miami passed legislation prohibiting restaurants and bars within the SD-2 Coconut Grove Central Commercial District (downtown Coconut Grove) from serving alcohol past 3 a.m. This restriction has put downtown Coconut Grove establishments at an even greater disadvantage in an already down economy, as they are forced to compete with the emerging nightlife of nearby Brickell area and South Miami, which remain open until 5 a.m. The restriction is also unfair in that it is limited to only those establishments within downtown Coconut Grove, while other establishments outside the area of restriction including one within 10 blocks of downtown, are allowed to remain open. At the time the restriction was established, only 2 bars had liquor licenses extending to 5 a.m. Temple and Mr. Moe\\\\\\\'s. Temple has since closed. Due to the perception that the Grove Closes early, people are going elsewhere, and business for all the Grove has declined. WHAT WE WANT: Our petition is to request that the City even the playing field by allowing the SD-2 area of Coconut Grove the \\\\\\\"same a.m.\\\\\\\" alcohol serving cut-off time as it had previously, and which still currently exists in other areas of Coconut Grove and the City of Miami. All the City has to do is simply remove City Code Chapter 4, Article I, Section 4-3(a)(6) from the City Code. WHAT IT WOULD MEAN: In doing so, it DOES NOT MEAN that all of Coconut Grove will be serving alcohol until 5 a.m. All it would do is simply return the right to serve alcohol until 5 a.m. to the one single establishment left that has a license to do so, Mr. Moe\\\\\\\'s. Staatssecretaris Ethienne Schouppe wilt onervaren (lees: jonge) chauffeurs opzadelen met een alcoholtolerantie van 0,2 promille naar 0,5 promille. Dit is het stigmatiseren van jonge chauffeurs. Meneer Schouppe heeft ZELF aangehaald dat onervarenheid ��n van de grootste redenen is bij ongelukken met jongeren. Dit kunnen we enkel aanpakken door middel van een meer doorgezette rijopleiding en het sensibiliseren en informeren van jongeren. Enkele argumenten om deze petitie te tekenen en meneer Schouppe te vragen voor een nultolerantie. 1) Rijden onder invloed is NIET vooral een probleem van jonge chauffeurs, maar eerder van hun ouders. Cijfers: De BOB campagne in 2007 heeft aangetoond dat chauffeurs in de leeftijdscategorie 40-54 tot 3 keer meer inbreuken begaan op gebied van drinken en rijden als 18-24 IN VERHOUDING! Waarom wilt meneer Schouppe een groep straffen die het probleem niet vormt, maar net h��l goed bezig is. Dit is het stigmatiseren van jonge chauffeurs en al het sensibiliseringswerk van verkeersveiligheidsorganisaties in de laatste 20 jaar ongedaan maken. 2) Een promilageverlaging kan ik als verantwoordelijke jongere, die nog steeds erg begaan is met het verkeer, enkel toejuichen. Doch, waarom kan meneer Schouppe dit voorstel niet uitwerken voor ALLE chauffeurs in Belgi�? Waarom zou drinken & rijden enkel gevaarlijk zijn bij jongeren? 15+ jaar BIVV 20 jaar responsible young drivers 15 jaar BOB campagnes WODKA acties Zijn maar enkele van de vele voorbeelden die verantwoordelijk zijn voor het gecre�erde maatschappelijk draagvlak om een dergerlijk initiaftief door te voeren. Vraag aan een gemiddelde Belg of rijden onder invloed kan en je krijgt 95% zeker een klaarduidelijke NEEN. Belgi� is klaar voor een algemene promilageverlaging. DAT is het verbeteren van verkeersveiligheid. 3) Jongeren zijn meer betrokken bij ongevallen: CORRECT. De cijfers zijn de cijfers, jonge chauffeurs zijn een risicogroep in het verkeer, maar zoals meneer Schouppe vorig jaar z�lf heeft aangegeven is ��n van de meest toonaangevende oorzaken hiervoor de onervarenheid. Dit oplossen kan enkel door een effici�ntere en meer doorgezette rijopleiding, zoals meneer Schouppe zelf wenst door te voeren momenteel. 4) Weekendongevallen: Hier vergeet men al te vaak de factor vermoeidheid. Precieze cijfers hebben we niet omtrent vermoeidheid en ongevallen, maar geschat wordt dat vermoeidheid voor 18% de hoofdsoorzaak is van ALLE dodelijke ongevallen, dus niet enkel de weekendongevallen. Lower Kentucky Local Offical Age Limits

According to the current KY Law you must be 21 years old to run in city legislative bodies and 25 years old to run as a mayor. Our goal is to lower the ages to lower the legislative laws to 18 years old to run for legislative and 21 years old for Mayor. The law currently in place is KRS 83A.040 As legal reference we will look at different states age of candidacy laws. In Ohio (a bordering state) you must be 18 years old for ANY position, which even includes governor. In West Virginia (a bordering state) you must be 18 years old to run in state legislature. Wisconsin allows candidate 18 years old or above for any position. Texas, Michigan, and Louisiana all set their county and local office age at 18 years old. Many of these positions require much more responsibility and are higher up in government than city mayors and legislative bodies. Lets step up to real change kentucky!

The Federal Reserve is a private company of bankers with twelve branch banks that confiscate our money and they have been doing this for almost a hundred years. They are not part of the United States Government. Yet today they collect hundreds of billions of dollars from American taxpayers every year. In 1913, the year after Woodrow Wilson was elected president of the United States. Prior to his election he needed financial support to pay for his campaign, so he reluctantly agreed, that if elected, he would sign the Federal Reserve Act, in return for that financial support. In December 1913 while many members of Congress were home for Christmas, the Federal Reserve Act was rammed through Congress and was later signed by President Wilson. At a later date, Wilson admitted with remorse, when referring to the Fed.\\\\\\\"I have unwittingly ruined my country\\\\\\\". We didn\\\\\\\'t have nor did we need an income tax until we got the bankers back. The income tax was only needed to pay interest to the bankers for our money that they loan to our government. Yes, you read that right, the Fed, mostly on paper and computer, creates money or pays the treasury a small printing fee for currency, and then loans this money to our government. Our taxes pay them interest on this loan that cost the FEDS virtually nothing to make, what a sweetheart of a deal they have going for them. As of March 6, 2006, the national debt stands at 8.2 trillion dollars. The American taxpayers have paid the FED banking system $173,875,979,369.66 in interest on that debt in just five short months, from October, 2005, through February, 2006. Since this article was written a couple of years ago the national debt has now risen to 10.7 trillion dollars, and since the economic meltdown that figure has risen dramatically and will continue to rise. The United States will never even be able to pay the interest on the loan,let alone the principle. So in actuality the Federal Reserve owns the United Statses and our elected officials are beholden to the bankers, not the American people. The Feds are the unseen \\\\\\\"shadow government\\\\\\\", they are the ones who are governing our once great Republic. They control both houses of Congress and also the President, and no-one dare oppose them. they are all powerful because they control the money supply. No con artist or group of con artists in history has ever perpetrated a scam that even approaches the scope of this one. According to the two volume work by Bill Benson and Red Beckman , \\\\\\\"The Law That Never Was\\\\\\\" the 16th amendment, which created the IRS, was never properly ratified, not even by one state! These gentlemen traveled the then 48 states to verify that fact. So in a very real sense the income tax isn\\\\\\\'t legal, as many have proclaimed, but try not paying it and see how far you get before the Feds come after you and confiscate everything you own.

I agree that the City of Billings should modify the upcoming Labor Agreement to include the suggestions posted on CitizensTruth.com. Changes should include most of the following: 1. Shift Change Suggestion 1 1. Change the shift cycle to the following: 1. 9 shifts per 27 days 1. This will reduce the number of required Firefighters by approximately 24 at a significant cost savings to the Taxpayers. 2. If there were not a reduction in staff, there would be an increase in available coverage of 8 per shift at a cost of about 2.6 Million. OR 3. Change the shift cycle to the following: 1. 8 shifts per 27 days 1. This will reduce the number of required Firefighters by approximately 12 at a significant cost savings to the Taxpayers. 2. If there were not a reduction in staff, there would be an increase in available coverage of 8 per shift at a cost of about 1.3 Million. 2. Consideration of swing shift schedules where a majority or larger number of Firefighters were scheduled during peak call hours. 1. Could result in a reduction in payroll costs but depends upon the model applied. 3. Modifying the payroll from an hourly rate to a salary to reduce the overtime costs and control payroll. 1. Would require well defined \"overtime or bonus pay\" definition and conditions 2. Could reduce costs in benefits and retirement program 4. Remove the health Insurance benefit from being included in the salary. 1. Would reduce the retirement benefits cost to the taxpayers 5. Alarm Time should not be the initial hour of work 1. Like any other employer, the employer has the right to expect the employee to show up for work ready to start. 6. Sundays should be considered regular work days 1. There is no expectation in any other contract that city has for an employee to expect to be paid while being held to perform regular services or duties 7. Any Firefighter that elected to represent the Union should expect any compensation to be paid by the Union and if duties performed are required during the shifts or work schedule, the City should not have to pay for the time while performing the Union duties. 1. The members of the union pay for the representation through their union dues 2. If the Firefighter is representing the union or carrying out Union business, it should not be expected that the Taxpayers pay for this time. 3. All time paid for by the City should be for city services and duties 8. All Firefighters should be held to complete yearly training 1. Failure to complete will result in no further pay increases until the training requirement is met 9. Certifications must be re certified at a minimum of every 24 months to continue receiving Special Certification Pay 10. The city as an employer has the right to request any firefighter to carry out special duties so long as equal compensation is made during such special requests. These situations are as follows but not limited to: 1. Representation of the Fire Department or City at special events or training 2. Pickup or delivery of equipment 3. Miscellaneous other special circumstances or needs 11. Grievances should be valid; else, the Union filing should be responsible for all costs related to the processing and resolution of the grievances filed. 1. There is a pattern of grievances filed for little or no valid reason costing the Taxpayers substantial costs through: 1. Legal Research 2. Meetings 3. Other Departments payroll or time to resolve 4. Miscellaneous other costs 2. By holding the Union liable for the costs if found invalid it will reduce the costs and promote dialogue when minor issues arise 3. Consider the EMS Board or another Citizens Board to consider and decide what is valid 4. In no way is this an attempt to limit the ability for an employee to file grievances, just give thought to its validity I would support the City Council and Administrator if they included the suggested changes even if it meant a lawsuit could result. I would support whatever action it took to obtain a new labor agreement that saved the US the Taxpayers and was fair. We believe the taxpayers are currently being taken advantage of and need the City to do the right thing.

Gainesville, Georgia City Council is using over $1.2MM of City Tax dollars to fund the purchase of workout equipment for the Frances Meadows Aquatic and Community Center. The request of funds comes from the Gainesville Park and Rec to change the meeting rooms within the Center to a workout facility. During a time of economic downturn and instability, the City of Gainesville, Georgia voted to decrease City Employees work days in order to reduce payroll to save tax dollars. This decision has affected City Police, Firefighters, and teachers as well as all City government employees. In addition, the City of Gainesville is not currently creating jobs. In 2008, City of Gainesville property owners incurred a substantial increase in tax bills to fund a huge school deficit. The tax increase came at the same time when most residents were feeling decreased pay, lost jobs and retirement, decreased property values, and increased cost of living. Tax dollar investments should be used to create jobs or fund a full police force, increase firefighters and educators to reduce our student/teacher ratio below minimum requirements. Excess funds could also be returned to tax payers to help stimulate a hurting economy. Tax dollars should not go to purchase depreciation assets that will have to be replaced within 2-3 years. The City of Gainesville currently has several cost effective fitness facilities available for residents to use. Some of the established facilities are privately owned small businesses that are paying tax dollars on equipment and inventory as well as creating jobs for residents. Private business should not have to pay to fund government competition or worry City government will affect the viability of the business. By signing this petition, you are asking City Council to reverse the vote to spend tax dollars to fund the purchase of depreciating assets and fund a workout facility. You want our City Council to know that spending tax dollars for anything more than stimulating our economy by creating jobs and/ or work hours or refunding our tax payers any excessive tax bills is unacceptable! To the Men and Women representing the Citizens of our Great Nation: We, as citizens of the United States, often hear how grateful we should all be to the men and women of the United States Armed Services for the freedom provided to us by their sacrifices. We even have a holiday in their honor, Veterans Day, to recognize those who have served and sacrificed for us. The problem with this holiday, however, is that many Veterans do not have the ability to take Veterans Day off! Schools, banks, Post Offices, and other facilities close on a day to recognize our Veterans, but, many large and small businesses remain open, and as a result, our Veterans work on their holiday. I propose a change to this, a new law that would have require public and private employers in our Nation to grant each employee who is an honorably discharged veteran or Active Duty Reservist a paid leave of absence for the entire workday on Veterans Day OR: - On either the previous Friday/ following Monday if the Veterans Day falls on a Saturday or Sunday and the employee is not scheduled to work on that day - On a Monday/Friday during the two weeks prior to/ or after Veterans Day IF workforce size does not permit this (example: Police Departments, Fire Departments, other fields especially heavy with Veterans workforce). Companies would be required to meet a pre-certification for this kind of flexibility every few years. Payment for this holiday should be equal to one 8 hour workday for hourly employees or, to 1/365th of the annual base pay for salaried employees. Funding for this paid Holiday for all honorably discharged Veterans can be handled in one of two ways: - Provided by Government funded Tax Credits to the employers based on the number of Veterans working there (which would need to be certified) - Or, much like the GI Bill has been taken care of in the past, by small contributions by service members during active-duty time, up to a contribution limit. Compulsory Castration for Rapists and Pedophile\'s

Rape and sexual abuse are extremely damaging physically, psychologically, and emotionally. The laws protecting women from rape, and children from pedophile\\\\\\\'s are not strong enough, and neither are the punishments. It is the intent of this petition to implement stronger laws regarding punishment of convicted rapists and pedophiles. Castration of these individuals should be mandatory after a conviction is passed. Options for castration would include surgical and chemical castration. Chemical castration is administered through injections, which reduces the amount of the male hormone testosterone in a pedophiles system. Surgical castration is the removal of the male testicles. However, both techniciques are reversible. European studies have shown a reduction in repeat offenses in preferential pedophiles(a pedophile who has never had sexual relations with adults. Castration should not be considered \\\\\\\'cruel and unusual\\\\\\\' punishment for pedophiles. The only thing \\\\\\\'cruel and unusual\\\\\\\' is allowing these people to continue raping women and to molest our children. Protect our women, and our children, make castration for Pedophile\\\\\\\'s and Rapists Mandatory.

Caltrans needs to wake up and install \\\"rumble strips\\\" on the Bay Bridge to warn drivers well before the deadly S curve. The Caltrans PR flacks keep blaming the drivers, but when you have this many accidents the problem is with the traffic engineers. Let\\\'s state the obvious: people don\\\'t read road signs, particularly on a bridge that hasn\\\'t changed in over 70 years. But rumble strips work, warning drivers with the loud rumble on the raised pattern on the pavement below. It\\\'s a scandal that the S curve didn\\\'t open with rumble strips.
