There is life after birth and before death. The suggestion that a catholic must support only a pro-life candidates without considering the record of those candidates in regard to how much their positions are "pro-living" is to ignore a large portion of the entire culture of life that the Catholic Church supports. This also includes taking into consideration how these candidates vote on issues such as cutting funding to social programs for the poor and disabled, their position on capital punishment, a national health insurance that makes sure that no one dies due to lack of access to decent medical care,and other positions that deal with the culture of life from beginning to end. A candidate whose only position is to oppose abortion and euthanasia, while supporting the death penalty and large cuts to social programs which are the source of life to many of the most vulnerable in our nation.
