http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/DADDYSAREPARENTSTOO/ I never knew the lack of rights for Fathers everywhere, but for my particular situation, I am referring to the state of Florida. I am just blown away with what this state calls "Father's Rights." From what I have gathered the only rights a father has are financial, other than that, they are the child's father only, when, where, & for how long the mother wants them in their own child's life. My goal is to give these Fathers a voice & to hopefully one day have child custody laws that, take in account there are good fathers who want their child to raise & are, would be just as good if not better than the alternative parent. Somewhere along the line it has been decided that no matter the circumstances the mother is always chosen for custody of the child. I have to ask WHY??? I certainly mean no offense to all the loving, nurturing, deserving mothers that have custody of their children. With that said we've all seen a mother that should not have custody of a hamster, let alone a child. I hope to get the point of custody across should be decided on the best interest of the child, not the parents gender. Please join me in my fight for justice for all the Daddy's that just want to raise their child & should have just as much right to "their" child as the mother.
