A BAN ENERGY DRINKS TO ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 16 http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/ENERGYDRINKS/ This is a petition to submit to your local congressman.  It is to ask for a ban on energy drinks to anyone under the age of 16.  In the year 2005 which is the last full year of data there were 460,000 calls to poision control for energy drinks overdose.  amoung the reason sited were seizures, rapid heartrate, amd intractable vomiting.  These drinks are being sold to anyone with the money to pay for them.  They are even being offered in slurpee form.  They can cause extensive harm to people who are sensitive to caffeine but unaware of it.  Some drinks contain 280mg of caffeine.  That is more than 6 cups of coffee.  I am starting this petition to present to my congressman in the hopes of getting a age limit placed on their purchase.  Thank you. They\'re acting like we go out and buy it just for the caffeine. And also they can\'t talk At all because I know that about 3/4 of you who signed the petition have the exact same problem but instead of it being in a can it\'s in a cup and it\'s called coffee.
