PROOF OF CONSUMER INTEREST IN THE ELECTRIC CAR

There is proof that an alternative to our petroleum addiction does exist. The only problem is that the big boys who are earning maximum profit on oil, do anything and everything to keep us from using this alternative. WHY? Simple, if we start reducing our oil consumption, oil company execs have to slow down on buying yachts, golfing trips, and their high priced private jets.

Well, enough is enough. It is time that the world demands what can be made available to us, in order to save money and live a better life. The technology is obviously in existence, there was already a vehicle called the EV1, that was a totally electric car manufactured by GM. However, GM only made this available by leasing the vehicle, not for purchase.

It appears, by the visible evidence, that this car was only produced to conform to California Legislature. With the events that took place, it would only imply that GM never thought this car would be a success, nor did they intend it to be. Once it appeared that it was going to be a success, GM recalled all of the vehicles, and then shredded all of them. They would not allow the people to extend their lease, or purchase them. Also there was a battery company in Michigan that had developed a battery that would extend the range of this vehicle, however one of the car manufacturers purchased this battery company, which was then purchased by one of the major oil companies.

Sounds like someone, or something wanted to keep this concept quiet.

All of the comments are based off of the visual evidence supplied the documentary film : "Who Killed the Electric Car?" . This is not an advertisement for this movie, this movie is simply information you need to know about. All of the comments in this petition are based on evidence in this documentary. From the "Vanishing" of all of the cars, to the shredding of all of them, as well as the battery company in Michigan.

GM said the reason they did away with the EV1(electric car) is there is no consumer demand for this vehicle.

This petition is to proove once and for all that the people are interested in this concept. That we do need and are interested in an alternative to petroleum. This petition is to show to all of the car manufacturers that there is not only a consumer interest, but that the consumers demand this technology to be openly made available to us on the retail market. By signing this petition you are helping the voice of the people be made heard to auto manufacturers, the government, and especially big oil companies.

Enough is Enough. Bring the electric car to the RETAIL MARKET.

We have spoken.

There needs to be a change on our environment and economy, that change is the electric car. With new technology I believe that the electric cars would be even more advanced today. Unfortunaltely the electric car idea threatens our economy in the government eyes. We need to bring back the electric car to help global warming and the outrageous gas prices.
