In his first nine years coaching at Clemson, he has never won an ACC Title, never made an appearance in an ACC Championship game, and never had an appearance in a BCS bowl game. Throughout nine seasons, he has never finished a season with less than 3 losses, and only once (2000), has he finished with 3 losses. With the ACC being up for grabs in the past couple years, Clemson has faltered with inexplicable losses to Duke, Georgia Tech, and Boston College. Somehow Tommy keeps his job every year, and even receive a bonus and extension. Heading into the 2008 season, Bowden's salary is a whopping $2,250,000. Before this bonus, Bowden made $138,889 for every victory of the 2007 season (9-4). Entering the 2008 season, Clemson is said to have the 73rd toughest schedule in the nation. Clemson was predicted to go 11-1. Four games into the season, Bowden has the Tigers at 2-2, and we have not even reached the toughest part of our schedule. With a career winning percentage at Clemson of only 0.622, the losses have to be put on someone besides the players. The bubble screen does not work every play and running the ball up the middle on first down doesn't work every time. It is time to fire Tommy Bowden and Rob Spence for terrible production they give us. Do we get over $2 million worth out of Tommy? Clemson has some of the best talent in the nation, but how long is it before we can get the right man to lead them? For $2 million we can get a better coach and offensive coordinator. Adjustments need to be made and they need to be made now!
