Ultimately it can cure many serious diseases such as diabetes, Parkinson's Disease, and Alzheimer's. Government funding also plays an important roll in these research. Although there are private institutions such as The California Institute for Regenerative Medicine who fund research laboratories, government funding is very much needed. Knowing all the benefits that could come from stem cell research, George W. Bush limited all government funding because of his own moral beliefs. A person's moral standing should not come into play with scientific affairs.
