Dear Sony;I support this petition. The Green Hornet has been around almost as long as Batman and got his start on wjbk radio in Detroit MI, he is suppose to be a detective like the Batman, much darker and grittier than the proposal on your desk now. morever seth rogen isn't that talented an actor and certainly doesn't have the build for it..i own the original 40's serial adaptation and there is no comedy in it..please please do not let rogen make this film..it won't be like spiderman..hey heres a thought how about putting it on TV 1st, build some revenue and a fan-base and then take it to the big screen and while you're considering it take a look at eric mccormack for the part
please don't make it just to rush it to the screen...it will bomb like the 1st Hulk movie...we want GH to wow us like Batman begins did..how about Kevin Smith or Frank Miller doing your screen play and story ??? just a thought

Green Hornet is a true vigilante, everyone thinks he is a criminal. There is no way he can pull this off as a comedy. It should be a action movie, with Jason Statham and Jet Li as Green Hornet and Kato, do it right or don't do it.

I favored the Green Hornet TV show over Batman because it was serious. If this movie is done in the style of the Batman TV show, I certainly won't be spending any money on it or associated merchandise.

GreenHornet should be dark when he is in action. To add, Van Dam would be a good GreenHornet, and you must have Jet Li as Kato. These to actionpack actors should team to something special. This movie cannot be a bust, it has to be made well, or we are going to kill the famous GreenHornet and Kato characters. They must make this film good. Not like Catwoman. maybe a Batmen type of film, dark and yet clear. Once again it must be made well.Use the actors Van Dam and Li, it will be action packed.

Make GreenHornet Dark and Mysterious. Please do not deviate frm the orignial concept.
I do prefer more action and less special effects. More serious more realistic. Like the TV series "the equalizer"

I agree, The Green Hornet was meant to be a serious action packed show unlike the Batman TV series that had all that POW and ZAP. The Green Hornet should remain mysterious, and hidden in the shadows!

Here is my vote for a serious Green Hornet flick! I realize that Kevin Smith is going to be inclined to cast one of his acting buddies for the title role. I am okay with Ben Alfleck as Green Hornet, but I would like to suggest Jet Li as Kato; and Jennifer Gardner as Lenore Case.

I also agree with the first two signers; establishing the Uncle to nephew succession would be a real Stinger!

I agree that GH would be rediculous as a sitcom, and should be keep as a serious toned character that he was created for! Notice how Warner Bros's rendition of Batman was so successful when done with the Dark tones of Tim Burton's directing, then the sequels began to slag when Joel Shumacher tried to lighten it all up with these comical exploits and over acting (Jim Carey). People expect Green Hornet to be dark like the 60s tv series, with some major special effects thrown in to modernize the quality of the film. I also agree with David Blocher's assessment of using the "Pass the Torch" lineage that Now Comics introduced, which could satisfy everyone's favorite rendition of the character.

Green Hornet meant to be a Dark & Gritty character, and making a spoof comedy like tripping over his shoe laces, etc. would really disturb the mood of the film. I would also like to have the plot include all the renditions of The Green Hornet by passing the torch down from Uncle to nephew as was done by Now Comics in 1989. By the time the flick is made, a fourth generation of Green Hornet & Kato would be ready to take the streets!
