I am trying to devise a plan so that people like me and you can help these people that don't have a place to go, don't know what to do, and don't know how they are going to continue to live. Hotels are only opening their doors to those who have money to stay there. It's sad to see all these people, tens of thousands, don't have a place to go because their house is under water. Why can't hotels open their doors to these refugees? Yes, I know hotels are businesses and they have to make their money, but come on!! This is a time of need. America needs to step up and stop being so greedy! There's nowhere for these people to go! The Superdome is being evacuated because conditions inside are becoming so inhabitable, it's unsafe to breathe the air. These 20,000+ victims are being transported to the Astrodome in Texas. IN TEXAS!!! because there is nowhere to bring them! No one has ever seen this city like this before. There are so many people there that are trying to survive. There was a story on the news about a woman and her family. She drove from New Orleans to Baton Rouge and on the way here, her car broke down. She made it to a hotel, but was told she had to be out by noon because her time was up. She had nowhere to go, her car was broken, no idea what to do! How can people be so greedy and so mean and so careless? It makes me sick! So, I am trying to figure out a way to help these people. They despirately need help. I don't know how to help the victims. Maybe if I can get some kind of petition out there to the American people so they can see how bad the situation is. If anyone has any ideas, and would like to help me put something together, please let me know. I would love to start a donation of some sort, but I have no idea where to begin.
