As for metal, the instrumental and vocal skill required to play most metal is huge. Is is quite possibly the most technical genre of modern music there is, and like someone previously pointed out, there are so many styles of it, that anyone who's into to heavy music can likely find something they like. BTW, I play lead guitar for a thrash metal band, AND rap in an underground NH group called Warehouse Collective.
