Now a days there are beepers and they all currently have them paid by the village of N.Syracuse. I looked into this at the village and they had the firehouse cheif call me personaly. I was informed that the siren (noise) saved me money on my home owners ins. Well I looked into that and it is false. We in the village same money living 5 miles from the firehouse. So on that note do we really need the siren (noise) be sounded everytime a cat is stuck in a tree. I am PRO firefighters, I mean no disrespect at all to any of them. I have Uncles who retired from the city of Syracuse and they do agree the SIREN (noise) is a thing of the past. So with this petition I ask do we really want to continue with this and let it become a negative on your home's worth. If I would of heard this siren (noise) I would of never bought my home, I thought living in the village would mean peace and quiet...I was wrong, so if you are in favor of having it banned then please sign...
