http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/OSUpractices/ I am writing this Petition because Of the struggles With my Wife and Osu Hospital. in 2003 MY wife was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation. Basically It causes Extreme Spinal Pressure headaches, blindness and even death. There are known surgeries for it and it isn't that hard to fix. Since that time My wife has been in the hospital more than 20 times because of extreme headaches and partial blindness. EVERYTIME: they give her meds and then send her home saying that she is ok (when she is not) my wife still has to deal with the extreme headaches EVERYDAY. in 2007 my wife and I had a child, unfortunetly NO ONE had told us that chiari malformation can cause you to have a child pre-mature and unfortunetly our child died in our arms 2 days after she was born. feeling this grief did not help. Because my wife still has to deal with the pain that she is feeling while dealing with this. recently she went to the hospital again. for 3 days they jerked her around, not giving meds. giving meds, not giving meds when needed saying it's for her own good (LIE). this last day was it for me. a neurologist walks in asks "what's going on today?". my wife explains it ALL again, and his response is "well what stage are you in?" my wife knew nothing of "stages" no one had explained this to us. after that, the doctor said "you need to find out what stage you are in, because you can die from this" and then walks out. Next walks in a nurse and says "ok you are being discharged" how does that work? next minute they are telling her she will die, next they are kicking her out of the hospital.
