http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/PenalizeBruceBowen/ We, the fans of the National Basketball Association, feel that you are doing a great injustice to the image of the NBA, and to sportsmanship in general, if you do not take action against Bruce Bowen of the San Antonio Spurs for his actions in the 3rd Quarter of Game 2 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals against the Phoenix Suns on 5/9/2007. There is clear and conclusive video evidence that Mr. Bowen intentionally kicked at the ankle of Amare Stoudemire in a blatent attempt to injure this player. Mr. Bowen has a very well known past history of these kinds of thuggish antics, as you well know. This man has caused injuries to multiple players including, but not limited to, Vince Carter of the New Jersey Nets, Steve Francis of the New York Knicks, Anthony Parker of the Toronto Raptors, Wally Szczerbiak of the Minnesota Timberwolves, and so on. By turning a blind eye to the actions of Mr. Bowen, you are setting a very irresponsible precedent in that by casting a blind eye you are, in a matter of speaking, condoning such behavior. If you choose to present your league in a shining light, you simply can not allow this kind of behavior to go unpunished. We, as the fans who support this league emotionally, physically, and most importantly financially, will not sit idly by and allow this sort of action to tarnish the image of a game that we love so much. We hope that you have the decency to not do as such either.
