Because of the unfair treatment so many Pit Bulls face it is inevitable that a certain percentage of these will act out against humans. This is not because of the breed but because of irresponsible ownership. Other times it can be simply that the owner does not care for the suffering the animal faces and/or in general has a callous disregard for life. If you know of such abuse it is your responsibility to report this to the proper legal authorities and to make sure that legal action is taken. Many times such complaints are overlooked, which directly lead to new laws such as Breed Specific Legislation ( BSL ) to be developed, which steal away individuals rights to ownership of this great breed.
