*Option* for Playable Crews in Star Trek Online http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/StarTrekOnline/ This is a petition for Cryptic Studios to implement an *option* for playable crew positions in their massively multiplayer online game: Star Trek Online. We, the signers of this petition, believe that an essential part of the Star Trek identity is the cooperation, teamwork, and interaction of a ship's crew - in particular it's bridge crew, or heads-of-department. We feel that making a game carrying the Star Trek name should also carry the Star Trek spirit, which we view as largely - although not exclusively - consisting of the interaction and cooperation of the crew within one starship. We understand that it may not be realistic to implement these features at launch. If implemention at that time is not possible, and if - after launch - the game is successful, we ask that you incorporate the *option* to play crew positions into your game without compromising the ability for others to play with an NPC crew as the current game design dictates. We appreciate and support the work you're doing in making a playable Star Trek MMO a reality. We ask that you seriously consider our position, and work to implement an option to play Star Trek Online in a way that is enriching and rewarding to us, which includes but is not limited to the *option* to play as members of a starship crew. I fully support the petition for the OPTION for having a player bridge crew. Every person who doesn't agree doesn't seem to understand we want the OPTION to do it not be required to do it.
