<title>Petition to revoke the No. 99 from Manny Ramirez</title>
		<link>http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/Take99back/</link>
<description>This is the petition to force Manny Ramirez to stop wearing the No. 99 in Los Angeles, and to call for the retirement of the No. 99 by all Los Angelean professional sports teams.

It should go with out saying, and the majority of professional athletes do not need to be told, but obviously in the wake of overpriced outfielders who test positive for performance enhancing drugs and who have no sense of history, decorum or respect, it is clear that we need to protect the legacy of one of the greatest most gifted athletes to play in the City of the Angels.

Wayne Gretzky&#039;s number, No. 99, symbolizes the absolute greatest player in his sport&#039;s history. Not just on the ice, but for the impact his trade to LA had on expanding the NHL throughout North America. He brought the Stanley Cup to the Los Angeles Kings. Wayne Gretzky is as important to LA Sports as he is to the Hockey world.

Gretzky played as the most exceptional and consummate athlete with grace, style and dignity. He exemplifies unadulterated and overwhelming athletic talent combined professionalism, class, grace, dignity, and sportsmanship. He personifies - at the highest levels- everything we want our athletes to be.

While all athletes should aspire to the standard set by Wayne Gretzky, but no one should have the right to mar his legacy.

Just as &amp;quot; The Great One&amp;quot; should always be associated with Mr. Gretzky, so too should the number 99.

Sign this petition if you agree Manny Ramirez should give up the no. 99 and/or if you believe its a good idea to ask all Los Angeles professional sports franchises to retire the number.

Thank you for attention and signature. </description>
