What we want from SQUARE-ENIX

SQUARE-ENIX over the time has released popular video game titles for the SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM (the PS2 - PlayStation 2)

Those titles were:
FINAL FANTASY X
FINAL FANTASY X-2
KINGDOM HEARTS

These popular titles were released over Asia, Europe and N. America from 2001~2003 for gamers to enjoy. However, over time gamers in Japan has realized that us gamers in N. America receivesmore extras and updates in from their version of the game they had (on FFX, FFX-2 and KINGDOM HEARTS) and felt that they wanted to try them out, for these updates highly improve the affect of game play in the original version of these games.

At the same time, Japan's taste in the English language has been very influential and entertaining thus, SQUARE-ENIX re-release these 3 popular titles in Japan after releasing the N. American version, with all the updates we had in our N. American version of the game PLUS more updates that we N. American's didn't have originally in our version.

With all this said, each of these titles were re-named in Japan of the re-releases:

FINAL FANTASY X INTERNATIONAL
FINAL FANTASY X-2 INTERNATIONAL + LAST MISSION
KINGDOM HEARTS FINAL MIX

While Japanese gamers are having fun with their updated version of the game (updated from the N. American version plus updates we Europeans and N. Americans never had), we were left in the shadows, crying out for a re-release of this game to come to the Europe and N. America Region. Until now, we never had it yet left with our version.

So just what is this petition crying out for?

We N. American and European fans want these 3 titles (2 for Europe for FFX alreay has its updates by default)to have the same updates that Japanese gamers now have on their re-releases. Having these titles re-release as GREATEST HITS would do, for it'd draw people to easily buy the game at a fair price. Although it these titles has already been re-released as GREATEST HITS in N. America, it'd still be awesome if they have this game re-release as GREATEST HITS any gamer who's been wanting to play this version of the game would want to play it and it'll re-enhance the gaming experience WITH updates we've all been dying for.

Capcom had a move in re-releasing one of their top titles, Devil May Cry 3m as a GREATEST HITS, renamed to SPECIAL EDITION because of the added extras the original version didn't had. Perhaps this is SQUARE-ENIX's chance to have that same strategic move on the games that didn't make it to that kind of re-release (FFX, FFX-2 and KH).

Perhaps having the game in the japanese dialogue with english text would bring us N. Americans and Europeans the taste of how the game was like in the japanese version/language. If that's not the call, then english it is.

Regardless of the fact that SQUARE-ENIX plans on not doing any more of such re-releases and it's been years since these re-releases happened, we want these titles to come to our region while we are still with our PS2s before next-generation kicks in and kicks out the current-gen.

If Capcom can re-release one of their games as GREATEST HITS with added extras, then so can SQUARE-ENIX. Do it while current-gen games are still intact on N. American and European gamers today. People have been e-mailing to SQUARE-ENIX and has always been receiving the same reply of not having any plans in doing the special re-releases we didn't get.

Well what are you waiting for?

Sign theis petition if you know you've cried and waited long enough for our chance to enjoy a game a whole different way. Tell SQUARE-ENIX that we waited long enough - if not waiting, then we kindly asked and begged for it heavily on. Tell them how we served in us buying their games to help bring another version of a better game to Japan. Tell them how much we've done for these titles to bring where SQUARE-ENIX stands today!

I support this petition. I understand that Japan is where this series was made, but it was here in the USA that Final Fantasy became what it is today. We deserve the credit, AND the games, just as much as our fellow gamers in Japan do, if not more so.

Also, I personally wouldn\'t mind adding that Final Fantasy Xll International would be a hell of an addition to your petition list. Either way, we deserve these games, and lets all hope that Square-Enix hears our call.
