http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/australianewflag/ It's time Australia had a new flag. For to long, we as immigrants have been ignored on issues such as these. We chose to live in this great country which I consider more of an honor than just having birthright. So we deserve a new flag which depicts our contribution to Australian society. No more should the Union Jack be displayed on our flag. We migrants have no ties to England so why should we have to fly a foreign flag over what we now call home. Join this group and show your support, if you have ideas for a new flag post them. It's time this country grew up and showed what we the migrants have given this great land. If we could get a referendum on a new flag it would only be fair that each ethnic group gets the same amount of votes as the next. This way the smaller groups such as the Somalis would have as much say as the much larger "English" group.
