Help Get Gino Cappelletti Inducted to the Pro Foot... http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/cappellettitohalloffame/ Gino Cappelletti, former pro football player for the Boston Patriots of the American Football League, and the National Football League, has been overlooked as an inductee to the Professional Football Hall Of Fame in Canton, Ohio. This, in itself, is a total travesty. Gino Cappelletti, by virtue of his accomplishments as a player, deserves full, and complete, recognition as a hall of fame member. Here are some of his accomplishments that are proof of his worthiness to the Hall. Seasons among the league's top 10 Receptions: 1961-10*, 1964-10t* Receiving yards: 1961-9*, 1964-9*, 1965-7*, 1966-10* Receiving TDs: 1961-5t*, 1964-9t*, 1965-4*, 1966-6t* Rush/Receive TDs: 1961-8t*, 1965-5t* Pro Bowls AFL All-Star 1961, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966 Awards 1964 UPI, AP, TSN AFL MVP Records AFL All-Time Scorer Cappelletti led the American Football League in scoring five times and had two of the top five scoring seasons in pro football history – 155 points in 1964 and 147 points in 1961 (14-game seasons).
