The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) Region 1475 is committed not only to the 420 children and their parents in our soccer organization but also to the community. We have over 160 volunteers in our soccer organization committed to the 5 Philosophies of AYSO; Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching and Good Sportsmanship. Cornland Park has remained a vacant and unused until our children began playing soccer in the Fall of 2005. We believe we have created a positive influence in the community that surrounds this park and allow a central point for all residents in the Southern Chesapeake Area (Deep Creek, Great Bridge, Greenbrier and Hickory). We are here for the children, please just let the kids play! Show your support for this project by signing our petition! We need 4,000 signatures to get the attention of the city council in Chesapeake!! When the petitions have been signed and collected, they will be presented to city officials in Chesapeake, VA to show there is overwhelming support for AYSO Region 1475!
