No Fire Station on Alexander Carr Park Lands! http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/derrynh/ To Derry Town Council: We, the below-signed residents of Derry, New Hampshire, are against attempts by members of the Derry Town Council, Derry Planning Board, Derry Zoning Board, Derry Fire Department, and Derry Town employees to build a new fire station on lands associated with the Alexander Carr Park on Birch Street in Derry, New Hampshire. In addition, we are against building this said fire station on the tennis courts located at the intersection of Rockingham Road and Birch Street in Derry, New Hampshire, whether or not they are legally found to be part of the Alexander Carr Trust lands. We believe that any remaining Alexander Carr Trust lands should be left as park lands and open spaces and request that the Town of Derry, New Hampshire desist with all attempts to build the new town fire station on lands associated with Alexander Carr Park. We demand that the Derry Town Council hold open meeting regarding the selection of a location for said fire station and allow the voices of Derry’s citizens to be heard.
