Canadian Reparations

Whereas, on January 18, 2006, two hippie organizations, the Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood and the Center for Science in the Public Interest, announced their intent to sue Kellogg Co. and Viacom for what they allege to be a deceptive and unfair business practice: advertising to young children. The groups claim that such advertisements have caused over $1 billion in economic harm to Massachusetts consumers; and

Whereas, we the undersigned strongly disagree with these organizations and condemn their actions; and

Whereas, we recognize that eating sugar-coated cereal, watching cartoons and learning of new, colorful and tasty sugar-coated cereals during the commercials are sacred rites of passage for all American children; and

Whereas, the nation of Canada became an oasis for draft-dodging hippies; and

Whereas, during the War of 1812 in which the British burned the White House, more than half of the British forces were made up of Canadian militia;

Now therefore, we the undersigned, hereby petition the Canadian Parliament as follows:

That during the legislative session following receipt of this instrument, consider:

1. The devastation caused by your war of aggression in 1812 against the United States created scars that have yet to heal.

2. Consumers in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts claim an injury to which hippies, such as you, may sympathize.

3. An appropriate remedy, which would both alleviate the injury alleged by the consumers and satisfy as reasonable reparations for your war atrocities, is to annex the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Hippie Chick--you're a moron. John Lennon did not write the song "Money." It was the Beatles covering the song, which was originally written by Berry Gordy and Janie Bradford.

Aside from that, upon reading your rambling diatribe--I truly belive that you're still a moron.

Don't hate man. Wasn't it John Lennon that said "All you need is love" and "Money can't buy me love"? Okay, he also wrote the song that goes "Money, that's what I want, Now, Give me Money" but I'm sure it has hidden meaning.

We protest partly because we care about this great country. We all believe our opinion is the correct one and we want what we believe is best for our country so people will often protest against things they believe in. Many Republicans and Liberals believe each other hate their country but in truth, both of the voters love their country so much they both want what they feel would be best for it and so get angry at people who want to do something that in their mind may 'ruin' their country. Exceptions of course are the companies that vote Republican to help them suck more money out of the poor. Most Republicans are sadly, misinformed and I believe if John Kerry wasn't such a boring person we would ahve a liberal leader by now. The public prefer to vote for the more interesting candidate than the issues which is sad. Also, we partly protest because we are very, very bored.

Life isn't about money, you could all the money in the world but feel nothing but stress from work. You should give up on what you believe is required to have a worthwhile life (cars, money, whores)

Life is about living for now, for being happy and being with others. Go on the road with some hippies and you will learn that there is more to life than working yourself to an early grave. Nature intended us to live with it rather than against it.
