http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/fckthempa/ We (the musicians of the world) believe the MPA has gone too far in threatening to remove TAB sites from the internet, we believe this is going to harm the learning of many young guitarists all over the world who would NEVER have bought actual sheet music in the first place. i personally owe my guitaring to tabs downloaded off the internet, there is no way i could have ever afforded to actually buy the sheet music so without tab sites i would not be able to play now. there are many others all across the world who rely on internet tabs to learn songs and further their guitaring skills. whatsmore, the tabs on these websites are not copyrighted as they are "impressions" where a guitarist has written down how s/he thinks the song should be played, it is not the work of the original artist. removing tab websites is not going to, in any way, increase the (already disgusting) profits of the recording companies, so why bother? all the MPA is achieving is pissing off a large number of musicians whom all they want to do is LEARN! as for lyrics websites... you get the lyrics for an album when you buy the album so this is just plain stupid this is a big "**** YOU!" to the MPA and anyone who supports this scheme to damage the learning of musicians!
