They are left to lie in small plastic bags for hours on end, until some young person "wins" one, takes it home never to look at again. At least in a pet shop the shop keepers are more wary of who they sell the fish to. I bought one yesterday, when the fair came to my town. It was a rather large fish, the largest on the stall which I chose with reason, in a small bag with little water. I have put him in a big tank, and he seems very depressed and won't swim. (Yes I would have bought them all if I could) I know people say fish are useless, dumb and have only a short memory, but I don't agree. All animals on this planet should be treated with an exceptional amount of respect, no matter what the size of them, the size of their brain. Help me now in stopping this atrocious treatement of the attractive animals, please.
