Madonna deserves her star on Hollywood's Walk of F...

Madonna is arguably the most influential, important, and controvercial female artsits of the late 20th century, and she continues to draw attention as we enter the new century. She's defined generations, and created countless identities that have come to define her image as the Queen of Re-Invention. Her music is easily the most consistantly successful of many mainstream artists, yet still, the Queen of Pop remains without a star of Hollywood's famed Walk of Fame.

Besides conquering the music scene, the stage, film, and authorship, she has also been noted as an activist against hatred, war, oppression, poverty, HIV/AIDS, homophobia, and sexual stereotypes. She is now twenty years older than other popular artists, but proves that women's talents are not defined by young age as society has beleived ofr so long, and is a vision of hope for many women, men, and children who hope to make a change in the world, and to make the world a better place.

Now, with no end in sight, lover her or leave her she'd never going to stop, and it is time to recognize the impacts, good and bad, Madonna has made on society by giving her a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Are you kidding me that she does not have a star, but Ricky Martin does? How has he even influenced anyone in life even more so than in music, come on Madonna should have gotten one 2 yrs after her first album minimally...do people even think about stuff before they give people their stars, or is there some behind the scenes money being paid to get these nobody names their star...this is ridiculous!!!!

I first become aware of Madonna when I watched I'm Going To Tell You A Secret on MTV. Now, Madonna literally has changed my life and given me hope for a better future for myself and the world in which I live. I think that when an artist can influence the way you think in a positive way, then they are deserving of all the praise in the world. I thank Madonna for all of her hard work and everything she's done to inspire me.
