http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/hostages/ This petition is aimed to highlight the captivity of Thomas Nitzschke and Rene Braeunlich, two German engineers, who disappeared in northern Iraq on Tuesday 24th January, in a video tape dated 24 January, the day they were abducted in the northern industrial city of Beiji, about 240km north of Baghdad on 27th January 2006. Nothing has been heard about these two men since. We repectfully request that Thomas and Rene be released unharmed back to their family and friends, they were both in Iraq to assist the Iraqi people by working towards restoring facilities, and are part of an overall effort by many civil organisations to help the people of Iraq.
