The Office has consistently been the most successful show on NBC's Thursday night line-up, found a strong and passionate fanbase (spawning websites, fan videos, and more), been one of the highest downloaded TV shows on iTunes, and, in general, has become one of the most successful television show within the past few years. By adding an extra half-hour each night, it would be to the great delight of the fans and also help the ratings for NBC.
