As a current employee at Laughlin Kennel, I can assure you from first hand experiance that we are NOT a puppy mill. We are a broker for private breeders. The staff work here because they love animals, If we were a puppy mill do you honestly think that there would be employees? As far as the health of the puppies go, they are checked every week by a licenced vet, and are up to date on shots. They are bathed weekly, and well taken care of. I created this petition because I am sick and tired of people posting comments about the kennel saying that we are a puppy mill, and that we should be shut down. I was there Janurary 1, 2005 and bought a bishon frise. We named her Angel. The next day i took her to the vet because she kept on scratching her ears... she had a yeast infection and an inner ear infection. There was no way she could have gotten that over night. I found out the breeders information and did a search online... Angel came from a puppy mill in Kansas. The breeder had over 100 violations. Now my dog had reoccurent ear problems, hip dysplasia and a broken tail. Her tail was broken before we got her. Listen, you may be an employee.. but stop and smell the roses.
