http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/norfolklaw/ The Norfolk City law states: "Section 6.1-8 of the Norfolk City Code allows no more than four (4) adult dogs and four (4) adult cats in any one dwelling unit or premises within the city limits." Meaning no matter how much money you have, no matter how well you care for them, and no matter how loved they are the city will STILL take your cats from you if you have one more than the law says you can have. Norfolk also requires that you pay as much as $25.00 a month per cat (more for dogs) to get a city license for your cat. These laws a ridiculous and need to be removed or rewritten to stop good people from being punished as if they were animal abusers just because they have one cat or dog more than they're supposed to by norfolk law. We are at this time considering moving to Virginia.. lets just say Norfolk will not be one of the options anymore!
