Ottmar Hitzfeld for Newcastle United

Graeme Souness was never the most popular choice when he arrived at the club. He never hit it off with any of us and see where it got us to?

The next apppointment of a new manager is possibly the most important in the club's recent history. We get it wrong here and Newcastle could well end up in the championship playing the likes of Southampton, Leeds, Ipswich and Derby - all clubs who have fallen from the Premiership & have failed to come back up. Financially, it could be ruins for us. A one-team city, and attracting 52000 a week, yet ending up in the bottom-half of the table and fighting relegation is criminal. Its just not on.

Under Souness we lacked Hunger, we lacked passion, we lacked the bottle, direction, shape, no tactics, no commitment, no aggression, no threat whatsoever, Shearer at 35 is/was still being used in every game. Its madness.

What we need is a manager who has a proven track record. A manager who wont stand for crap and who has a proven pedigree, experience and success behind him. That man in my eyes is OTTMAR HITZFELD. In a career spanning over 30 years, and the only man to win the Champions League with two separate clubs, he has a massive 19 Major honours behind him.

Recently Speaking to Die Welt, one of Germany's biggest newspapers, he said:

"I am not fixated on top clubs, I can imagine managing a smaller club. It’s also possible that I could go to a country outside of Europe getting to know a new culture. I want to keep all options open."

Now obviously, seeing as though he's free, he's said in the past he fancies a crack at the Premiership, and now signalling he wants a return to Club management, we surely couldnt go wrong with approaching him for the job...

Ottmar Hitzfeld has all the credentials to get our club going again. Sir Bobby woke this club up again, and to reach the heights he took us to, including that fabulous night in Rotterdam (Feyenoord,3-2), In my eyes Hitzfeld is the ideal candidate to take us there.

Since one of the ideas is to split strings not into words, but hopefully into phrases more semantically informative than the words they are made of, doing that better should mean better suggestions, and avoiding what essentially are word n-tuples should make for smaller data and slightly faster querying.
