http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/originalswg/ Those of us who have played Star Wars Galaxies in the past; the few first year vets who survived the NGE; or anyone who plays the game now and wants to see what the game once was, I petition SOE/LucasArts to open one, if not a few original ruleset servers. This server does not have to be regularly updated as if it was a full live server, just regular maintenence and periodic patches for crash issues/etc. People may say that SOE/LA may not have the pure manpower to open up the server and keep it running. Given the scope of the companies involved in this venture, coupled with the seemingly high demand for this, gives me reason to believe that this would just make SOE/LA more money than it already makes on the game. I personally know a handful of people who have since cancelled that would most likely / definately come back if this was implemented. That's one person. If every current player of SWG has a friend that left the game due to the NGE, an original ruleset server has the potential to double your profits on the game. Let's show SOE/LA in a respectful way that we want this to become a reality. We had a game that we loved at a time; the game that is there now just uses the same graphics engine...nothing more. The message boards get nothing done if only because Pre-NGE, complaints were taken as gold, Post-NGE, complaints were taken as a "Small vocal group" of the community.
