http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/pardon/ Dear Governor Perry, My family has experienced a devastating blow this week from the Department of the Army. I reenlisted with the Texas National Guard after I received a postcard from Sgt. Verret from the San Marcos office of the National Guard. I did not feel that a reenlistment would have been possible, since, as I explained to Sgt Verret, I had been in Bartlett State Jail recently for Burglary of a Building. He told me, "That's what waivers are for." I left this meeting and was contacted a week later to report to the Mepps Station for a physical. In June I received orders to mobilized to Kosovo. During SRP, it became evident that my recruiter did not follow procedure and had created a fraudulent enlistment. Governor Perry, I truly have made some wrong decisions in the past and I served the time I was given by the State of Texas. Now, it is time for me to put my life on the front line for my country, which I will serve with pride and honor. My family has been anticipating this day and has based every life decision on the fact that I would be serving abroad for the Department of the Army. I know it is a tremendous thing that we are asking you for, sir, but you are the only one, beside President Bush, who can make it possible for me to continue my service and finish the mission assigned to me. Thank you, in advance, for any and all considerations in this matter. I am looking forward to joining my unit by September 20th, so time is of the essence.
