Allowing authors to respond to reviewers on fanfic...

This petition is to protest the rule that fanfiction.net has put in place that states that authors can't reply to reviewers in the chapters.

The new rule sucks. What about anonymous reviewers? How do you communicate with them? Also I like responding to readers in my reviews. I support this petition and hope ff.net listens.

That is just wrong because some people like to comment to their readers and wants them to know about much they appreciate them reading and reviewing and for the ideas.!!!!-.-;

I think it is wrong...
I myself would love to get a reply back from time to time just to prove that they do read and it is nice to know that it does not matter what, where and how we can all interact with each others, WHY NOT.
I think it is a dumb rule and rules like these can hopfully be brokened or trashed before they go any further.

That is so wrong. What is the point of reviews if you can't reply to them. I love the interactive part of reviews. If someone is interested in my work enough to review I want to hear an opinion on how I can be better.

That's just wrong! It's hardly decent to have people review your stories and not even be able to tell them how you feel about their reviews! Epspecially when they miss something that you absolutely need to point out and they don't leave their email!

This is just so wrong. Authors post theoir stories so they could interact with other people. It seems so rude to not even have the right to thank reviewers for taking the time to read your story.

I have a few stories archieved on the site, and some of them are incomplete. I usually add small author notes in the beginning of the next chapter to respond to the reviews I recieve, and now the head honchos want to take that away from me. I DON'T THINK SO! I need to tell my readers what is going on and answer any questions they may give to me in their reviews!!

Authors have to be able to respond to their reviewers on the site.

Frankly, I'm surprised FF.net has even considered implementing this rule. It seems ridiculous to limit the communication between writers and their readers- if this is what they've set out to do, why not cut out reader’s ability to review, too? Even the notion of ridding reviewing capabilities is ludicrous. One sided communication is not as effective. Please allow authors to continue to respond to their reviewers. It's our way of showing we appreciate the feedback on our work. (My penname is 'sahariah')
