Would anyone like to see this again is service? Well, that's what this is all about. It began service on the Strasburg RR in the mid-1960s as a hand-me-down from the Standard RR of the World, the Pennsy. In the mid to late 80s, it went on mainline excursions from Strasburg to Harrisburg, Enola Yard, and (one trip) to Philadelphia with sister 4-4-2 7002. Retired in 1990, it is today on display at the RRMPA with the 7002. My goal is 1000 signatures so we can see SRC restore 1223 back to active service. It is one of the last remains of the mightiest railroad in the world.
