Stop Cutting Down The Amazon Rainforest http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/savetheamazon/ The Amazon Rainforest is now one of the only large Rainforests left in the world, but recently, it has been attacked for natural resources, such as oil, gold, and, of course, wood. The forest is being cleared at an average rate of 100 football fields a day! Most of this is illegal woodcutting. The Rainforest is not only a last refuge to thousands of species known and unknown to us, it is also home to various native tribes, who have lived peacefully in the rainforest since before it was even discovered by the West. If we get enough signatures, we can convince the South American Governments to enforce the defence of the rainforest, and stop the illegal woodcutting, and poaching.
