I have been opposed to the seal hunt since I first learned about it. Tradition and money will not convince me that this practice should be considered. I am a Canadian and I do not want my money funding the seal hunt; I would, however, agree with my money being used to fund education for sealers so they could have a positive contribution to society, or to increase their EI payments.
