<title>Stop the Use of Child Soldiers in Sierra Leone</title>
		<link>http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/slchildsoldiers/</link>
		<description>Dear Mr. President,

The efforts that you have recently put into helping your country better protect the children and women are very admirable, such as the statement you made on November 19, 2004 at the International Conference on Children organised by Italy and WFP. However, I am still concerned with the fact that many children are still being used in armed conflicts today.

The country has suffered an 11-year civil war in which thousands of children were killed, mutilated, and orphaned by rebel forces. Children are already suffering from the effects of these wars, they should not have to be forced into them and endure such pain and misery as a soldier lives through- or in most cases, doesn&amp;#39;t live through.

The efforts that you have already made are becoming more effective with much help from organizations against the use of child soldiers. Although, I think the solution process of this major problem needs to be sped up, because everyday children are suffering from this and I think the country needs it to be solved to achieve a better society where human rights are sustained.

Please view this petition as a symbol of concern for your country&amp;#39;s children.

Sincerly,
