And the thing is, the characters in Harry Potter WERE OOC in HBP to many people, and not just H/Hr shippers. Even my friends who SHIP R/Hr agree with me. Ginny became a Mary-Sue (you don't go from being shy to Super!Ginny like that...I need more than just being told once or twice that she's usually more talkative), Harry got over Sirius's death like that, despite moping about Cedric's for months (and I'm sorry, but "Sirius not wanting it" isn't a good enough reason, not after his past behavior), and Hermione suddenly couldn't tell a lie if her life depended on it (after doing so constantly in OotP). The romance was horribly written, and I'm not saying that just because I ship H/Hr. I thought the Harry/Cho plot was very cute. H/G was just out of the blue (there are many hints concerning Ginny's feelings, none concerning Harry's, at least not until Book 6), and R/Hr became tiresome. I was fine with it until Book 5. It was just..."enough is enough." The plot was repetitive, and I realized that, in my opinion, whenever Ron and Hermione are together, the worst of their personalities come out. I love Ron and Hermione, I really do, but I hate who they are around one another, which is why I do not ship R/Hr. We were also upset because we were PUBLICLY accused of hating Ron and constantly bashing him. We do NOT do that, and we do not appreciate people being brainwashed so.
