We miss the talented young woman whose curvy, healthy-looking physique reassured young women everywhere that they need not be dangerously thin to be considered attractive by the mainstream media, or society at large. We miss the girl from the Parent Trap, and Mean Girls, whose innate ability and strength onscreen was what kept you watching her, long after you noticed and moved beyond her physical beauty. We object to her joining the ranks of a certain class of other celebrities, whose unhealthy lifestyles (untreated eating disorders, drug abuse, etc.) result in the skeletal frames too often plastered on magazine covers and insulted by B-listers on VH1. Just as "calling someone else fat won't make you any skinnier", becoming dangerously skinny doesn't make you any prettier, especially if you were already gorgeous. Old Lindsay has so much to offer the world, and we feel that it would be a shame to sit idly by as she became just another piece of Hollywood plastic.
