This means we are one of only 9 schools in the whole state who aren't teaching our kids well enough to pass state minimum testing. To add insult to injury, the board of education voted to reward the superintendent Cheryl Atkinson, who already makes $175,000, a year a $5,000 bonus and claim she turned around the district. Turing it around would imply we are doing better under her watch. Before her the District was in "Continuous Improvement" two years prior. Send the message that failure will not be rewarded. The bonus is only justified if we get an "Effective" Designation by the ODE.
