The Tom Cruise Boycott

During it's current ten year run, the Comedy Central series South Park has parodied nearly every major religion and more than a few celebrities. Over these years, plenty of controversy and protest has amassed over the content of many of its episodes. Many episodes have been boycotted by religious groups and other organizations when the contents of the episode were found to be "offensive" to their group. Until recently, only one South Park episode had been banned from rebroadcast on Comedy Central, and the content of that episode involved child abuse.

Then, in November 2005, South Park delivered an episode entitled "Trapped in the Closet" which parodied Scientology along with some of it's outspoken members, such as Tom Cruise and John Travolta. After its original broadcast in the U.S., the episode was never aired in Great Britain, because Tom Cruise himself threatened to sue. When the episode was scheduled for re-run on Comedy Central in the US, it was mysteriously pulled last-minute. Rumor has it that this was due to Tom Cruise threatening not to promote his upcoming Paramount Picture's Mission: Impossible III if the episode was rebroadcast. Both Paramount and Comedy Central are owned by Viacom.

Viacom and Paramount need to be aware of the impact this action has had on 3.5 million potential movie goers. 3.5 million people. That is the number of viewers who tuned in on March 22, 2006 to view Matt Stone and Trey Parker's rebuttal towards the controversy. Tom Cruise threatened to not publicize Mission: Impossible III. Now 3.5 million viewers can potentially take a stand by NOT seeing said movie.

Mission: Impossible III opens on May 5, 2006. In the meantime, we need to make Viacom and Paramount understand that this is more of an ultimatum than a boycott. There is still an out for them - Approval for Comedy Central to show an advertised 9:30PM EST or 10:00PM EST showing of "Trapped in a Closet". Simple as that.

To those at Viacom, we, the undersigned, hereby declare to boycott any sales that contribute towards the profits of Paramount Picture's Mission: Impossible III, until the aforesaid rebroadcast occurs. This will continue as long as it takes. This boycott includes the sales of ticket, apparel, videogames, videogame retals, dvds, dvd rentals, and any other merchandise relating to Mission: Impossible III.

Sincerely, The Undersigned,

I sign! I think that Tom Cruise is being immature about the entire ordeal; many celebrities, television shows, ethnicities and religions have been parodied on the show, and Mr. Cruise is being a baby about it.

I&amp;amp;amp;#039;m a Scientologist and I&amp;amp;amp;#039;ll tell you that this crazy story about Xenu is total crap. Some people in the press keep saying that this Xenu story is what Scientologists believe. This is such garbage and it&amp;amp;amp;#039;s a story repeated over and over and is intended to keep people from looking into what Scientology actually is. So why would some in the media intentionally try and keep people away from Scientology you ask? Because most media is well paid by the pharmaceutical industry. They see Scientology as a threat to their profits because it is. Scientology has many, many answers that work and are practical. Let&amp;amp;amp;#039;s look at 1 example of how the psychiatric drugging industry is hurt by Scientology technology... Let&amp;amp;amp;#039;s assume you know someone who has been depressed for several months or even years. Did you know that with Scientology you can literally snap him out of his dark days and make him feel happy again, sometimes in less than five minutes. How could this be? Because Scientology helps and works like nothing else before it. There is no need to be on a psychiatric drug everyday for the rest of your life. This is just one of thousands of solutions Scientology has and it would take literally books to tell you all it has to offer and can do. Give a Scientologist just a few minutes of your time and you&amp;amp;amp;#039;ll quickly realize what a sham psychiatry and the psychiatric drugging business is. It&amp;amp;amp;#039;s OK to be skeptical about Scientology, but don&amp;amp;amp;#039;t assume that what you&amp;amp;amp;#039;ve been told about it is actually true. Just ask yourself would all these celebrities be involved in it if didn&amp;acirc;€™t help them and others tremendously?/WWW.WHATISSCIENTOLOGY.ORG

Sad to say, the self-worshipping human mind thought it would do better than the Almighty. It began to conceive doctrines of its own. In this article these are called man-made doctrines. Yes, believe it or not, man set about to design his own doctrines, principles, laws and standards of morality. It wasn't long before the church joined in and jettisoned long established Biblical principles (doctrines) handed down by the prophets and Apostles of old. The church adopted the 'doctrines of men:' and to each incoming doctrine it gave a Christian title
