http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/torvillanddeanknighthoods/ Jayne and Chris are still two of the most popular sporting personalities in the UK and in many other countries around the world, but to date they have only received MBE's and OBE's. In 1984 (when they won Olympic gold for their country) it was rare for anyone to receive a knighthood for sporting acheivement but in recent years many knighthoods have been given out to people who have acheived considerably less than Jayne and Chris. They were at the very top of their profession for over 20 years, and still continue to do a huge amount for their sport. If anyone is deserving of a Knighthood, it really is these two.
